The location.

4.5 / 5.0
I enjoyed the staff. There was a tall black gentleman with a beard, he was very friendly. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. It was also very quiet. I really liked the location, it's in a good spot with it being close to the University of Memphis yet also close to midtown/downtown area.
The only thing I didn't like was the toilet. After flushing, it continued to run even after wiggling the handle. I almost thought it would overflow at times even though we didn't use too much toilet paper.

Very old smelling. A door had to be propped open to the parking lot. The key mechanism didn't work. Ice maker on my floor broken

It was close to the hospital
They billed me extra for things that I did not get. They charged me a pet fee, and I had no pet!

The location
Air in the hallways and elevator didn't work. The breakfast eggs were always cold. Couldn't get a change of sheets because our sheets had cigarettes holes in them the receptionist said they all like that and didn't give new sheets. Cars got broken into. This is not a real Hampton inn.

The location was great for anyone needing to be at hospital early.
We were not allowed to check in because the internet was down. The evening manager, Reiginald Maycyz was of no help to anyone. He did not try to trouble shoot the problem although our room was prepaid he stated they would lose money if he let us in. My husband is handicapped, he showed no compassion for our situation, offered no alternatives even with other Hampton properties in the area, thus I found the last room at the Hampton closest to the area and we left. When I told him we were leaving he offered no apologies but smirked that he couldn’t do anything about it. I offered that there are solutions to every problem and he started telling someone on the phone that I was another complainer and might be reporting him. He should be reported an lose his attitude along with his position.

Location to what we were there for
Breakfast staff was terrible, rude and abusive to my wife. She has a neuromuscular disorder and drops things sometimes. She dropped the tongs at food table and they fell on the floor so she she grabbed the biscuit she had touched with her fingers and the lady lit her up screaming and accusing her of not being able to read the sign in front of a full lobby of people. Not professional in any manner. When reported to desk clerk he was apologetic and put points on our rewards account and no idea if employee was repremanded or not

Proximity to the hospital.
Multiple cars were broken into in the parking lot, and the staff refused to clean my room. I eventually had to supply my own toilet paper. I felt unsafe and probably contracted athletes foot from the old carpets and shower the wouldnt drain.

Location was ok, appeared to be a nice hotel.
Have stayed at many Hamptons over the years and this one was just below our expectations. Bed was not very comfortable, the refrigerator smelled like fish.

The staff and the location.
It was smelly, dirty, moldy and falling apart from being an aging and neglected property.

Very close to the hospital.
Booked a room with two queens online but when I arrived they only had a room with one king .
Vehicle was broken into overnight, window smashed and items stolen.

location was good, but that is it.
It is filthy. They say it’s under “renovation” but it should be condemned. There is black mold growing in the bathroom, the tubs are rusted, and toilets were dirty. The “breakfast” consisted of rotten fruit.

There were no towels in our room. When calling to the office, we were told there were no towels in the property. There was no hot breakfast or WiFi services. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Location.
The first room that was assigned was dirty, and one of the lamp shades was broken. Some of the lights in the restroom didn't work.
