Don't bother, look elsewhere!
The location was nice but that was basically the only thing nice about this stay.
The site lists a pool available, it was drained and I assume being repaired. The room had paint on the ground from a poor repaint. There were electrical wires dangling off the ceiling and wall. The floors and windows were filthy. There were cobwebs in multiple places in the room. The slider to the balcony was difficult to open. There were at least 2 protruding nails that came out of the wall and ground where someone can get snagged or hurt by them. We discovered a mouse also staying in our room which was living in the Floor ducts which meant we were breathing in its feces. Made management/owner?!? aware of the situation, said he would send someone up in the morning to clean out the air ducts, No One ever came to do the job. Tried finding the manager/owner multiple times afterwards and could never find him. Filed a complaint with Booking.com they also never responded.

It was all right you get what you paid for.
They cleaned our suite, when we stayed there. They also took the trash out and changed our towels.
You can’t have your own privacy because you can’t lock the door or each room, it’s so hot, it’s kinda old type of hotel, and where so excited about the pool but they don’t have a pool rn.

Don’t even consider staying here
We booked one deluxe suite at Sierra Lodge Three Rivers for one night from 6-26-24 to 6-27-24. There were four adults and two kids (4 and 11 years old) in our group. The reception room where we would have had breakfast as well was quite dirty, smelled very bad, and did not have any AC, so it was extremely hot in there. The kids could not remain in the room for even two minutes because they started to feel unwell due to the heat, so they had to go outside. It was over 90 degrees outside. There was no-one at the reception when we walked in, and we saw a man lying in what looked like a bed and watching TV in a backroom next to the reception. He seemed bothered by our presence and that he was forced to get up from his bed and attend to us. He barely greeted us; he handed a key to our room and explained to us how to get to our room. He also advised us that he turned on the AC in the room for us, so it would cool down; we thanked him for being so attentive. Unfortunately, when we walked in to the room, we first noticed some cash on a table and someone's shirt hanging on a chair. The AC was NOT on. The room was very dirty! There were also used and dirty dishes on the kitchen counter and in the sink, the trashcan was full of trash, such as an old baguette, there were dirty towels on the floor in the bathroom. Beds were not made. We could see that someone slept in the bed. We believed at that time that we were accidentally given a wrong room, so we went back to the reception room to inform the receptionist about that. Again, he was lying in his bed in the backroom and barely said anything to us, he just offered us a different room, which was much smaller and with only one bedroom and without a third bed that we needed. Despite of that, we decided to give it a chance because we needed a place to sleep, so we went with him to look at the room. However, right after we walked in to the room, we saw a huge cockroach on the floor that the receptionist attempted to catch.

The location and overall experience are good but the member of staff and his conduct were offensive.
The location is fantastic, just at the gates of Sequoia NP, with beautiful views. There is plenty of parking space and outside seating perfect for a morning coffee. The hotel is rather run down but can be a pleasant stopover point and it is relatively inexpensive. Breakfast is rather minimalistic (cereals & milk, bagels, toasts, jam & butter).
We were not informed that on the day of our stay the pool would be renovated. Not only it was closed, but the drilling started at 6:30am with no advance notice. When asked, the staff member replied that they did not post any notice "because people would not read it anyway" and that "if you want to complain, complain", and simply left the room halfway through the conversation. It was disappointing to be treated this way. We understand that renovation work was needed but we would have appreciated advance notice particularly given the early start of works.
