Location was great, fresh linens etc. kitchen amenities were helpful (burner stove/coffee pot/microwave)
The bus stop right outside was super handy!
Having some cooking oil and more spices would have been great!

The old town location was amazing. The 3 bedroom has a second floor balcony looking towards Great Slave Lake. Beautiful views and amazing Aurora views.

Easy checkin, host so carefully and the view is incredible.

Basically everything was great and the one minor issue with the internet was taken care of very quickly. It was actually bigger than I expected too.
Sink's super small. Still usable, but small.

Great location on the water. We had the property to ourselves for two days. Cute, clean, little cabin.
Wifi didn’t work. Not able to use bbq and kayaks/canoes that were on the property. Doing dishes in the bathroom sink was difficult.. a plastic wash bucket would help

We wanted an authentic Yellowknife experience, and we were well situated for the old town vibe
There was some standing water under the building that was of some concern. We stayed before the on-site restaurant and bar season start, which would certainly impact relaxing.

owner kindness and he was aware all the time of our requirements
none from the location and room … the unique issues were : booking and the restaurant that is below the rooms (attention and openness)

it’s right next to the lake, fab location for aurora
things are basic but were good enough, only thing is that the auto messages set in booking.com and reviews are no more update and valid, it’s now managed by a team and the original host has long retired

Its a great place to stay. Great view from the deck and have restaurant on main floor. Owner is very helpful and asked many times for anything that I needed during my stay. It has a common kitchen with all supplies.
I believe the building has central heating, which was not on during my stay. So the room was cold. But owner provided me a room heater, that helped.

If you make yourself as a local to have a "live" experience in a Old Town Yellowknife, this must be the place. The room was clean, tidy and yet cozy to make us feel home, the view from the room was excellent, and great restaurants are all few minutes away. On top of everything, the Innkeeper, Mr. John Leuis made our stay/trip flawless -- we cannot thank him enough for his quick response and kind hospitality. After COVID pushed us back almost 2 years, we finally made it to the destination that we wanted to visit for a decade. We will remember this awesome experience for the rest of our life, and, if all possible, this should be our first choice to return/stay in Yellowknife in a heartbeat.
Absolutely nothing. Everything was organized and coordinated. Flawless from booking through checking out. Truly appreciated the precious effort from the Aurora Bayside Inn Team to make this experience possible.

Location, deck and dock :) Aurora viewing right from the dock
Restaurant downstairs (and around) were ramping down for the beginning of the low season and were closed half of the time (not really anybody's fault though), but I was told to get food for breakfast when I just got there (so it was not a big problem)

beautiful location! awesome staff and cozy room

Wonderful views out to the lake. Cozy room. A back garden and floating dock are steps outside. There's a highly-rated fish restaurant attached but unfortunately I didn't get to try it. Old city is the best location in Yellowknife for tourists to stay in.
Having a staffed reception desk would be nice. Currently, guests have to arrange check-in times with the owner. A POS terminal to accept credit card payments would also be convenient.

Absolutely gorgeous view from the back deck...we're able to view the stars and Northern Lights! John the Host is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay again and recommend this place to others.

The Aurora Bayside Inn is a fabulous little place. Close to town but out of the way, right on the water, and with excellent food and drink served right on the bay, right out back. I felt like I'd fallen into an oasis after a multi-day motorcycle journey. John, the owner, was super-accommodating throughout, the room was nicely appointed, homey, and very comfortable, the rate was great, and I can't say enough about the location. I felt like I was staying in a friend's house, not a hotel. If I ever find a reason to go all the way back up to Yellowknife, I can't imagine even looking into other accommodations. It was hands-down the nicest place I stayed on this 2-week trip.
