A comfortable stay in estate mansion on the outskirts of town.

Short and sweet

Staff was lovely, we arrived later in the evening but were welcomed with their patient ant thorough hospitality. Let me do my work in the dining room the next morning, which had a nice view.

Our Air Canada flight from Vancouver was delayed and we did not arrive until 12:30am but the lovely host still checked us in to a lovely bedroom after hours. She went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service to weary travellers and it is very much appreciated. Thank you

Left stranded and alone by the owner.

Absolutely nothing. The owner had the worst attitude I have ever experience from another human being. The YYZ airport had canceled flights that left people stranded. The airline couldn’t find a hotel as they were being booked rapidly from unexpected stranded travelers and left me on my own. It took 45 min of searching and found this place available via booking.com. I had tried to book other hotels on Booking.com but they suddenly disappeared in the process as so many were eagerly making reservations. I grabbed an Uber and off I went on the 30 min drive. I arrived at 11:15 and the place was dark and doors locked. I called the number and a lady answered and I explained my situation. She had 0 feelings and completely heartless. She said 11pm was end of checkin and it’s posted on the website - I never found that but regardless - she was 15 min on her way home and wouldn’t turn around for a stranded guest. Her son opened the door but wouldn’t help. He asked if I had a car and I said no and explained to him the situation while I was talking with his mother on the phone. Neither willing to offer any type of assistance whatsoever. No, hey can I help get you a ride back to the airport, No, hey I can’t check you in but can I help find another location…. Her son was totally ok with closing and locking the door leaving me outside. The owner lady hung up on me and said I’m calling booking.com to complain. REALLY? That’s the kind of heart this place has. I sat on their steps for another 40 min looking for hotels on my phone. This place is very remote and dark at night. No place to walk to. One of the guests came and offered help. No other hotels were available and I ended up taking an Uber back to the airport and slept for about 30 min that night. And all this happened after being at the airport with canceled flights, gate changes, passing thru customs and having to go back thru again to re-enter Canada as the US customs is at the Toronto airport. Horrible!!

Read the section “what I liked” then read this. The owner has no heart or compassion. I wonder why she’s in the hospitality business. Her tone and demeanor was short, selfish and rude. I never swore, called her names, just pleaded my case to arouse a glimmer of compassion. Never found it. Instead she hung up on me. Even if they had clearly posted 11pm checkin cutoff, who in this world doesn’t try to help another person under uncontrollable circumstances? She may put on her game face and demeanor during work hours but her true colors came out bright and clear when she punched off the clock. She’ll probably write her reply something like this - “Website CLEARLY says checkin ends at 11pm!!” Her underlying message is, was and likely will be “I’m right and you’re wrong” that’s the crux of her response and communication to me throughout our 20 min conversation. Just thought everyone should understand the type of ownership this place is at its core.

Excellent value for money. A lovely breakfast. The pool was beautiful. The staff were very friendly. Convenient for the airport despite peaceful and rural location. There were lots of restaurants nearby. It was great.

Aside from the noisy episodes during the nights, I was very comfortable staying there.

The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, pleasant and very comfortable. Everything I needed was there.

Newton Villa was difficult to find. If the website had a better map, that would be helpful. On the first night around 5 a.m., there was a heavy rainstorm. I think there was a drain pipe from the roof inside the wall of my room. The draining water was very noisy. On the second night, guests arrived in the room next door just after 4 a.m. They talked loudly together and on the phone, I think they turned the TV on, and there was a lot of turning on and off of water taps. I hardly slept at all until they finally settled down at 8 a.m., which is when I had to get up.

Great price for a one night stay before heading to the airport.

You could hear the other guests through the wall. 7:00 breakfast is too late when you are catching a flight.

Best Experience Ever!!!!

Aba, is the most welcoming and accommodating woman. Honestly, i felt like I was on relaxing trip the moment I walked through the door. The rooms are cozy, unique and oh so comfortable! The building and grounds are impeccably gorgeous. I was in town for a family emergency and I ended up staying an extra night just because the vibe is so soothing. I will stay here every time I'm in town. Thank you!!!

Loved it!

I liked that it was a very warm and welcoming place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was kept neat and clean and it is also very close to my fiance's house. So I loved it!

Room spacious and lovely Bathroom clean, loved the jacuzzi. Fireplace was cozy. Bed clean and comfortable. Very peaceful sleep. View was lovely. Breakfast buffet was nice, bread soft and fruit fresh.

Would have liked more options for additional parking.
