Wonderful destination for our quick family get away!

Amazing distance from the beach and many other attractions! Both of my dogs were allowed, with a non refundable fee but they were well accepted and we didn’t hear any issues when we left them in the room. The room was clean and all the beds were very comfortable.

The self Parking fee was a bit steep but I’m also a small town girl so maybe that’s average for self parking in CA.

View was amazing and the bed was super comfortable. The front desk staff and valet, Glenn, were very helpful. It was an easy 6 minute walk to the beach. Very pleasant.

no one offered any breakfast , the layout of the rooms are terrible , the furniture's were cheap cheap cheap for the price the shower was plastic the wall paper are not done professionally , the room had two sewer line coming off the flor and the wall , i think it was room 270 the very very last room facing the ocean

Undergoing renovation

We liked how close it was to the beach and other attractions. We also enjoyed the outdoor patios on the property. It’ll be a beautiful property once all renovations are complete.

We were not aware that the property was going through major renovations. Pulled up to the site and there was no parking available due to work being done. No signs as to where to self park. My kids were looking forward to the pool, that was also closed due to renovations. Lacking lobby market. We were emailed prior offering an upgrade for early check in, staff could not tell me whether that request could be fulfilled. Seemed like they were frustrated that we called, told us to call back closer to check in, defeating the purpose of early check in.

Not going to stay here again

Dana point is a beautiful city. The entire hotel is under construction which we were unaware of so be prepared to be woken to by hammers and workers. The front desk lately was no where to be found for 15 minutes and when she shows up she was upset we interrupted her snacking.

Would defiantly stay there again, just be ready for xtra charges you may have to verify after check out!

Location is Great, beds very comfortable.

Did not like when arrived was told ocean view would be an upgrade of $20 p nite. On Booking.Com stated ocean view room. Few days later noticed additional charges $50 p nite for ocean view? Called and had charged reduced to $20. Also try to charged for bottle waters not opened. Recovered that also.

staff was nice but there were no amenities due to the major renovations

First of all, the staff was very nice and apologized for the major renovations going on in the hotel. We arrived and there was lots of jack hammering going on, the lobby was all tarped off, so no pool, no food off of the menu was available at the rooftop lounge. The only food available was frozen pizza from the grocery store and frozen egg rolls. It would have been nice for booking .com to alert consumers that this hotel is under major renovations and no food service nor pool is available.

Booking.com needs to alert consumers that this hotel is under major renovations. We did not know that and there was no pool, just lots of jack hammering all day. When we walked from our room there was debris.

Overall, our stay was fine.

Near the beach and Marina. Also not too far from the church we were visiting. The valet parking guy was great.

I thought there was free breakfast when i booked the hotel but not. $40/day of valet parking is outrageous in my opinion. We asked the housekeeper to come back after we left the room but didn’t.

We were expecting so much more based on the cost of our stay.

The king bed was comfortable with different pillows to choose from

Our first room was a handicapped room where the bathroom sliding door maneuvered as if it was off the track. The toilet handle had to be held down to completely empty the toilet. So we decided to change room. At first the receptionist said he would send up maintenance. He quickly complied when I said I’d rather change rooms. He gave us another handicapped room? We are NOT handicapped! Why weren’t we asked if we wanted a handicapped room? We chose to stay in this hotel because the friends we were visiting said it had been remodeled. It was old and had been shoddy remodeled. We had no desire to eat in the restaurant. The valets were very friendly and efficient.

Breakfast was great, good food and good service. The staff was lovely...very accommodating and professional. A special shoutout to Joshua, bellman /valet. He was exceptionally kind and went the extra mile to provide excellent service.

Stuffy and no air conditioning in elevators and corridors. The furniture in the lobby and our room needed to be cleaned. outdoor cushons were stained and needed cleaning also.. Also it looked like the corridor carpet had been cleaned recently and was not laying flat but had ripples in it....a tripping hazard for seniors like me.

Superb

Location to beach and restaurants. The pillows were awesome. Customer service was excellent as well.

It was advertised that room had a view of the Ocean, in reality it was a postage stamp size view if you stood on the small balcony that overlooked the freeway 🤪

The staff was exceptionally nice, especially Randi and Lisa at the rooftop bar. The hotel is in a very good location.

The property needs cleaning and updating. Our bathroom was not clean. Their was no mirror in the room other than the bathroom, so when 2 people are trying to get ready to go to a wedding it was a challenge. The pool was very dirty. The furniture in the lobby is very dirty. Overall the property did not seem clean.

A wonderful location with lots to do nearby if you're up for biking or walking next to the ocean.

Room was quite adequate! wishing the beds were queens instead of doubles, but other than that, the room had a nice layout and was very clean. We had a view of the ocean with a balcony. So nice! The staff was so nice and so helpful. Breakfast bar was pricy at $25, and regular menu limited, so we skipped it and took a walk down the PCH and found a spot. Rented bikes and rode to San Clemente. Had dinner at Olemanti's, a wonderful Mexican spot. Walked to the Harbor where there were so

Carpeting in hallways had pet odor. Needs shampooing! A woman in the elevator had a dog and cat with her. I love animals, but that's a lot of cleaning to keep up with.

Great location mediocre hotel for the money very old and dated.

I understand it's going to be renovated this summer it needs it badly The air conditioning units were very noisy and didn't work well The air conditioning sensor on the sliding glass glass door was broken and it was hard to get the air conditioner to even work The faucet in the bathroom was loose and moving around. The sliding door for the bathroom was a wreck The stop for the door was too far out and it would go too far one way. The glass on the door is a silly idea because during the middle of the night it lets light in to the room and wakes your partner . just a few of the problems I encountered
