Fin beliggenhet, bra rom.
Frokosten var god, men jeg foretrekker buffet hvor man kan velge selv. Det var heller ikke noe påfyll av kaffe og man måtte velge mellom kaffe og juice. Ville man ha youghurt måtte man betale.

The view was great
Dirty, excessive fees, illegal charges, staff unfriendly. We paid a lot of money to have a severe ant problem in one room. I spoke with the manager on duty and he moved me to another room with excessive mold. We tried one more room and the bed was broken but decided to stay anyway. I received an additional 239.00 charge in the middle of the night which my credit card flagged immediately. Very unpleasant stay. Super big waste of money. Try other properties in the Emeryville area.

Excellent location near Bay Bridge. Easy access to San Francisco without the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. Be prepared for tolls to cross bridge though. Plenty of nearby restaurants and fast food.

Nice n clean site
For its size no breakfast and restaurant wasn’t opened was a buzz kill
6.0
Close to freeways, restaurants and shops.
Bathroom shower has mildew and stains on tile. Smells like mildew. Needs remodeling to match the daily price they are chatting. Even though this is a no smoking hotel. There is a strong marijuana odor on the floor we stayed on.

Owners nickel & diming this place to death. Closed the bar, charge $22 for a breakfast that nearby hotels include at the same nightly rate, shabby cleaning...

Location
I've been there for 2 days, I put a fan on it in the morning, and when I went back in the evening after work, it wasn't cleaned. I called the front desk and asked why it wasn't cleaned, and they said that if you want cleaning, you have to tell me in advance. He didn't say he was sorry or said he would clean, so I asked for a towel. I didn't understand that paying $29 + tax for parking in a place that wasn't downtown. A place I never want to go again.

The Sonesta is a great hotel for the value and accommodations in the lobby (bar, restaurant).
The parking didn't seem secure or safe.

I had a nice view on Emeryville but would have preferred the Bay view.
Oakland is not a safe city. But the hotel was in a relatively safe area. I would like to know they had security guards around.

Not much, It took three tries to find a room we thought acceptable. Not great, just barely acceptable. The first room smelled like a kids, gym locker. The second was on the lower level and adjacent to the freeway. The only good thing is location.
Fraudulent pricing policies with destination fees. The hotel smells bad. Carpets are greasy and blackened. No cups in bathroom. A/C stops working after 10pm.

the property was clean, and some what safe. The rooms were great, and comfortable.
Our shower did not drain when showering. But did get a complimentary breakfast because of it. It had poor lighting in the back where handicap parking was located. when I had to go to my truck at night to get something, I stepped off the side walk and then I tripped and fell over the cement parking block. (hurting myself really bad as I fell) because it was so dark outside with no lighting. You need more lighting in the back by handicap parking. I didn’t report it because it was late at night and I just wanted to get back to my room.

Nice hotel in a great location. Staff is great and attentive. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. There is a nice restaurant bar, and coffee/breakfast area in lobby. Also a decent gym is available.
Sorry, I didn't have time to not like something. :-)

We liked its proximity to the station, shops and the black bear restaurant. Right outside the hotel you’ll find the bus stop “ F “ this is non stop into San Francisco in 20 mins, costs 2.50$ can pay cash. The room was a good size and comfortable
This hotel is quite dated.

We were there for Berkeley admitted student day and found everything to be excellent starting with the desk staff. We will certainly be staying there many times over the next 4 years

there was no hot water when I arrived

The price is what reeled us in. much cheaper than surrounding properties for the 3 nights we needed. Hotel lobby is large and and clean. Room was comfortable. window opened for fresh air. Bathroom was large, shower was ok but dated. Parking was great, lot seemed safe enough. We would stay again.
Bathrooms are a bit dated. Shower head sprayed. The first room we were put into had an adjoining room and we could head a man talking on the phone for hours while his child screamed and screeched at a very loud tv set. We were moved but because the hotel was full, it was to the other side of the screaming child room. this time no adjoining room door. made all the difference. Always ask for a room without an adjoining door.

it was nice, quiet and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. The bed was very comfortable and room was perfect. In addition, it is across the street from shopping and restaurants.
The restaurant hours were limited but there are options at the Bay Street shopping center across the street for those that don’t have a car.

Location, value for money, and great team manning the property
