Fine for a place to rest your head but expect to pay triple what it’s worth

I came to the hotel to check in and was told to come back as there AC was not working & it was 113 . I came back at 3 to the office being locked & no one there. We called a number on a window and were told the AC was not working .They would not charge me for a room as they weren't checking anyone in. The following day , I was charged a no show fee !!!! I called them & explained what happened. The gentleman called the hotel and they hug up on him . He called back to no answer. He told me he was going to credit my card to which he has never done . They caused me an inconvenience and charged me on top of it !!! I am fighting this in any way I can !!! Do not stay at this hotel as they are thieves !!

My stay was horrible because the A/C wasn’t working and it was over 90% outside at night when we arrived and we were

I didn't like anything in the hotel, the pool was green and duty.

the A/C wasn't working and the staff was not helping us it was a horrible experience not coming back to the hotel, I stayed for 2 nights and they never fix the A/C.

I liked very much the size of the room, it was very spacious.

I didn't like that my last three days the air conditioning was not functioning and it was hot and very uncomfortable to be inside the room.

This place offers a decent bang for your buck. I was just looking for a quick overnight stay to get a break from the wind on the highway. More than served its purpose.

It's just an old facility. Nothing to really dislike. Staff was very friendly. Really couldn't ask for more from what you're getting.

The stay was bad and I would not recommend this hotel.

Not much the staff was nice

What is on line is not exactly what the hotel was like. Our room the sliding glass door had no handles. the nice stand the knobs were missing. We had a large room with w king side bed there was know chair in the room. According to my reservation the room was suppose to have a large lounge chair. there were roaches in my room. We hope they did not get into close.

pieces of pizza and boxes on the patio, NO amenities, dirty, slept with coat over pillow, completely run down. Worst hotel I've stayed in

Didn’t expect much. OK “Royal” in the name is the clue. Manager was princely.

Aging old-style motel. Room faces noisy parking lot. Balcony light always on. Light switch missing on the bedside lamp. Old shower head focussed water in a narrow stream.

The cheap and run down outside solution

We needed a stop over between San Diego and Las Vegas and chose Palm Springs. Since all cheaper options already were gone in town we chose this nearby solution. We got what we paid for: a bit far out in a quite run down area, run down rooms, reception not available before 3 pm (to - at least - leave our luggage).

Rooms are quiet run down, staff a bit passive, the area is not to compare with stylish Palm Springs.
