The accommodations were fantastic
Everything was great, but the shower was too small and the toilet was too low. Need to have rooms more conducive to older individuals with physical limitations.

we have stayed at this hotel on all of our trips to Virginia. We always travel with our German Shepherd. Staff always welcomed our fur baby with a dog biscuit - at no charge.
This trip, we checked prices on Booking.com - this hotel was the highest priced in the area. We called and spoke with front desk staff to inquire about a Veteran’s discount. The price quoted with the discount was still a little higher than Booking.com, so we booked through the booking site. After making the reservation, we realized we hadn’t been able to advise that our dog would be traveling with us, so we called the front desk again. We were told dogs were always welcome and she said she would note our reservation as such. NEVER were we told about the “new” policy of a $50 a night charge for our dog. We spoke with personnel at your front desk twice - the up charge was never mentioned. We would not have booked a room at your hotel at the outrageous price added to the already high room price. Sorry to say, you have lost a long-time, faithful customer.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The pool was closed, completely drained, with no mention on any of the websites, or from any of the staff. My kids were so disappointed when we got to the pool area totally dressed and ready to swim.

Friendly and professional staff. they were great!
As we came up to our floor, a lady was assembling a bed in front of the elevator in the middle of the hallway. Never seen this!
There were hairs in the shower.
The digital thermostat to the AC was broken.
They had run out of cream cheese for the bagels.

The location, the staff, and the hotel overall were great. Great to have breakfast before early morning journey.
Our room for some reason smelled like armpit. I don't know if it was from the a/c vent or what. And some towels looked liked they weren't fully cleaned with stains and musty smell to it. The TV worked off and on even when a staff member came to change remotes or put extra batteries. I forgot to be honest, but the TV wasn't working properly without having to lightly tap the back side. Maybe the cord was loose. Lastly, the microwave had a mind of its own. Turn it on, it wouldn't work right away. Then it would work but not spin sometimes and not heat after first use.
