The most relaxing, comfortable, cozy place I've stayed at. Cute rocking chairs on the deck, great scenery. Absolutely no noise. Great breakfast. Just a super place.
Nothing bad to say.

This was one of the utmost very best ever Choice Hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Trust me because I’ve stayed at over hundreds of different hotels throughout my life.
The beautiful majestically scenic views here of the Blue Ridge Smokey Mountains. The price was under $100 dollars, which was cheaper than most local hotels. The great benefits from their Choice Hotel rewards program. The secluded privacy & peaceful quietude.
The house keeping was extra attentive to ensure the room was always clean on a daily basis, despite us not needing house keeping (cleaning services) such as average hotel guests, who are usually very messy. I’m the type of hotel guest who typically takes care of my own dirtiness and I clean my own messes, throw out my own garbage, and keep everything neatly-organizationally-tidy.
The hotel staff was accommodating in a mutually respectful way with my unique way of using digital visa debit cards for purchases situation. The staff was professional, polite, kind, caring, and extra helpful especially during check-in process.
Honest Review (Opinion): Regardless of this minor issue, I’m thankful free breakfast was available. Problem: Small breakfasts! Too many processed sugary-starchy gluten foods. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem to average hotel residents. Yet I’m allergic some dairy, artificially-processed-sugars, and especially certain grains, which most grains particularly contain hidden ingredients with excessive gluten. This Econo Lodge needs real cooked (warmed & heated) scrambled eggs & more varieties of fresh fruit! Plus Nondairy milk like almond, coconut, oat nut milk because there are people that’re sensitive to dairy, especially at breakfast time! This is a dietary problem unique to someone such as myself because of how sensitive I am to certain foods. I’m not the only one who’s normally used to drinking non-dairy (nut infused) milks.
Despite this problem, the hotel staff, especially during check-in was exceptionally accommodating and mutually understanding.
The pet fee was way much more money per day than I realized! At first we completely forgot there was a mandatory pet fee. Then we were annoyingly hassled to pay this fee by being threatened to get kick out (forceably checked out) if we didn’t pay it immediately. At the time this occurred, my partner & I truthfully didn’t have the money for any pet-fee because we needed to save our funds for gas-money, which was meant to be used for emergency medical operations at a military hospital that was over 1 hour away (2-3 hours round trip).
Wish there was one flat-rate-pet-fee. Instead of an overly expensive $25 dollar per night costly price, there needs to be a capped-maximum-limit like $100 dollars for an entire hotel stay. Especially if guests stay longer than 5 days (over a week) with their respective pets.

Everything was great nothing bad

The view was amazing
The rooms are super dated, parking is rough with little space, the lighting in the rooms are a super bright white. It was also moist in the room the whole weekend. Finally, the beds were quite bad.

Great view.
Air conditioner was too loud and too erratic. The entrance drive is hard to find.

I liked the location. It was clean and I was able to bring my dog. They had a continental breakfast in the morning.
The air conditioner/heater made some funny noises.

The entrance into the lodge and even though it is pet friendly it had no walking room for pets

Good breakfast,
I didn’t like the drive lave to the hotel, it was steep and had a sharp curve

The town and the view
The adjoining door to the neighboring room had a large open gap underneath and the occupants smoked pot in their room all night and even with us shoving towels under the space the whole room and our belongings reeked of it. The beds were so uncomfortable. The remote didn't work well. The walls are thin between rooms offering no sound proofing at all.

The location with its porch view was nice.
The bed was a horrible king mattress with a dip in the middle. Also, I’m pretty sure the toilet paper was the absolute cheapest 1-ply on the market.

The room was very clean and loved it didn’t have carpet. Overall, cleanliness, view, and outdoor security added comfort in knowing that the occupants and vehicle were being regarded. The sunset view from the balcony was spectacular. Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t write to likes or dislikes.
Quality of pillows could be improved. Outlet near bathroom wouldn’t accommodate my plug on hair dryer but desk area worked fine.

Room was very clean.
The people beside us were extremely loud. We ran the fan to try to block the noise. At 12:45 am I received a call from the front desk to see if we were making the noise. I was asleep. I told them it was the room next door as they were sitting outside on their balcony talking loudly. They should have investigated this first without calling.
The location is beautiful but unfortunately could hardly get cell service anywhere else than the motel.

When I arrived the lady at the front desk greeted me with a smile. Check in went very smoothly. Room was clean & fresh smelling. Hotel sat up on a hill & had a great view. Beds were comfortable. Hot water in the shower was hot & great water pressure. Also, liked how there was a bar in the shower to hold onto. The hotel was close to stores & restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing really to complain about. Didn't like the pillows but, that is just me. I'm picky about pillows so I always bring my own. My husband came late in the evening & had to park on the other side of the hotel because parking lot was full.
