Breakfast was good. It was in a good location.
Elevators are really slow.

Good location
The check-in staff, which appeared to be right out of high school (day shift) were not helpful or inviting. We had to wait 1 1/2 hours after check-in time (4:30pm) for our room. We were not offered water or coffee or even a place to wait - like the lobby. In the evening, I went to sit in the lobby area to catch up on a work project as the seating in our room was heavily stained and had a bad odor. I respectfully asked the check-in staff (evening/night shift) for a bottled water. She looked up from her phone, reached down into the refrigerator, and handed me a water without ever saying a word. Obviously, check-in staff need training in hospitality. The hotel needs to be updated. It’s old and has a musty smell throughout. The furniture in our room and in the lobby was heavily used and stained. Unfortunately, we booked 4 rooms (family in for our daughter’s graduation from LATech) and only received $50 off of each room at check-out. We are Hilton Honors members.

hard to get to, one way street, breakfast was terrible had many fruit flies, coffee was full of grounds, room was dark, floor was sticky, and sofa was broken, paint peeling off in several locations from water damage.

the staff were just lovely….that’s about it.
Our room looked straight out of an 80s movie and that isn’t a compliment. The room was dingy, it smelled odd, the AC squeaked when it was on, you had to man handle the toilet so it would flush and there were wires that looked to be hazardous and old plugged in near the beds which freaked me out. There were patches of unpainted spackle on the sheet rock around the parameter of the room which was odd. I just thought there is no way this is a Hilton property and there is NO WAY Paris would stay here. 😖 I was thankful it was only a 1 night stay. We will be staying elsewhere next year when we go to Ruston again.

Even though the elevators were malfunctioning, the staff went above and beyond accommodating the guest.
Everything was good.

location and late breakfast
The air was out in the lobby which was connected to the dining room area so it made breakfast a little unbearable

It was comfortable and affordable.
The carpets in the halls are too old, and had a smell passing by.

My sink faucet was leaking so water was pooling on top the counter. there was a slight stench in the room (stale not a fresh clean smell) maybe the carpet is old or the A/C vent needs changing.

Breakfast; some staff was pleasant while some seemed disingenuous (nice-ty)
Dirty room at checkin; replacement room was larger but had moldy ceiling, damaged walls/paint and malfunctioning toilet. Moldy smell

Staff was friendly and tried to be accommodating. Great location for Military events
Heater broken in our suite. Blew only cold air while 30-40 degrees outside. Very very cold in our suite. Older looking amenities. Carpet was dirty upon arrival and sticky fingerprints were on the guest info placard in our room. Unsightly stains on bench and sofa in the room.
We arrived late on 11/5. We were pleasantly greeted by the night attendant. Our room was a bit cold but we couldn’t get the thermostat or unit to heat the room. Only cool air was blowing from the unit. After an hour we shut off the unit and went to sleep. It was extremely cold upon waking but I had to get my husband to his drill unit for his promotion ceremony. Upon returning, I attempted to heat the room again to no avail. I questioned the morning staff via telephone about operating the panel because I thought there was some “trick” to get it to operate properly. Unfortunately that was not the case. I again turned the unit on for 30 minutes hoping that the heat would activate. I returned to the drill location for the 1SG promotion ceremony. Back in the room, it was freezing because no heat had been blowing only cold air. I then turned off the unit. I proceeded to layer clothing until I needed to pick up my husband from drill. Upon return we asked the staff to check our unit and advised her that we were BOTH wearing every available clothing option to keep/try to get warm. She offered to switch to us to different but smaller room. She kindly offered to check the unit/reset it. She came to visually check the unit herself and felt the cold air blowing from it. She also did offer more blankets to help. Luckily the blankets helped slightly and allowed me to get better sleep than the previous night. I know mechanical problems are possible but I believe our stay would have been awesome if I were ever comfortable there. Such a momentous occasion for my husband was tarnished by his inability to get a good night’s rest. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get the heater repaired in room 300.

The locks on the door
The room was dirty. There was dirty on the walls. The electric outlets did not work! The shower curtain he black stains on it. The always smelled. Someone, assuming it staff, tried to come in our room at 2am! The latch look saved up. We ended up leaving and finding another hotel. We call the front desk 4 times and no answer. This place os horrible

Breakfast was good, and easy to access. Very tasty.
No one mentioned that they would NOT be cleaning the room and supplying fresh towels & more coffee packets.
We had to ask for towels and coffee at the desk the next day.
