Historic hotel… location can’t be beat. They were in the middle of renovations but it was fine.
So.. when we checked in with front desk girl X, we were NOT told that the hotel did not have a system to charge drinks and food from the bar to our room. Regardless, we had a lengthy conversation and she knew our names/ faces. Around 6 pm, we sat on the patio and had drinks /appetizers from the bar. We told the bartender we were staying at the hotel. When we were finished, we decided to go for a walk on the beach so we took the plates inside ourselves and went to the beach. When we came back after 45 minutes, the bartender and girl X were in a total panic because they thought we had skipped out on paying for our dinner.?????????

Views were awesome, right on the beach, walking distance to everything, Penthouse Bar was stellar.
There were Weddings both nights we were there and the parties lasted well past midnight both nights. We were not told that there would be weddings booked and the reception would be in the courtyard directly in front of our room.

A really cute, cool venue. Excellent furnishings in a quaint yet hip vibe. Right on the beach surrounded by clubs, bars, restaurants, and even a microbrewery or two. The upstairs bar was really cool too. I recommend the ahi tuna appetizer. Loved it.

I’m not a breakfast person, but the selection of pastries, coffee, juices were excellent
The shades in the room were rusted and difficult to open and close. The TV were difficult to play.

Beautiful setting right on Jax beach. I would have paid double for the location alone. Unique rooms that were more comfortable than " commercial" hotels. The building had an authentic- historic feel...gives you "Alamo" vibes. Beautiful.

Location. Staff was Excellent! Breakfast. Beach. Fireworks.
No closet, no wardrobe, no dresser. No chair. Sad worn out bed. No place for clothes.
Room has potential, new paint, and nice pictures. Nice bathroom, except for mold in shower. No place to hang towels. So close to being a nice room, and yet a disappointing guest experience. I did expect a room with more furniture than a bed, 2 night stands and a mini fridge.
Party central for July 4th. Loud music from 5pm to 10pm. Parties are great. Just let your guests you are hosting a public event for hundreds of people before they book. They not have planned to stay at a night club.

Right on the beach! Close to restaurants. Friendly staff.
Room was very small. There were 2 weddings and people partied into the night. It was loud. There was no balcony or any chair.

It was on the Beach , Awesome View Also There Was A Wedding Taking Place That Was Great The Wedding With The Beach background Was Beautiful
Was The water pressure At The Hotel Was Terrible The Hot Water At The Sink Never Got Hot And The Hot Water In The Shower Only Got Warm , I Was So Disappointed Because the Scenery Was So Beautiful, Don't Think I'll Ever Stay There Again They Need To Get There Plumbing ISSUES TOGETHER REAL SOON , IT WAS MY FRIEND BIRTHDAY AND THAT DIDN'T GO OVER WELL AT ALL

It's a lovely refurnished vintage hotel. I do love old things and this one is a beauty. The continental breakfast was good.
We had a lovely view of the ocean from our room. We stayed in room 209.
1. The air conditioner always made a loud clunking sound when it cycled. We could not sleep. The room never cooled off. The ceiling fans made noises all the time. The blinds in the bedroom was partially pulled up. It was broken and we could not lower the blind. Blaring light came into the room from the patio below. We barely got any sleep the night we stayed, which was 3/8/22. We were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and the stay here spoiled our plans for a restful, enjoyable little stay in Jax Beach.
