I loved everything about this. The bed was comfortable. The decor was amazing. This place has an amazing feel to it. I look forward to staying here again.
I was only worried I would disturb someone going downstairs for coffee, the old floors creak and it was great for Halloween! I just didn't want to wake anyone else up.

Room was super cozy.
The outdoor access was not well lighted.

It was very quaint and a great location. The BBQ joint next door was awesome. Beds were comfortable.
We stayed in above the office in a room with 2 queen beds.. Very squeaky and sagging wood floors and the sheets needed to be replaced. They were worn and balled up. No ac, no glasses to get a drink of water. Microwave was out in the hall. Price was way cheaper if you walked in from the street instead of making a reservation on line. Then we were charged extra for using a credit card. The dog in the office jumped on me repeatedly while checking in and scratched up my legs leaving whelps with no apology from office staff.

Location was great, with the view in the back of beautiful mountains and meadows.
I was in a ground floor room next to three other rooms. One family/group seemed to occupy the other three rooms and treated the entire area outside as their private and personal backyard. They were up at 7 am talking loudly with each other and I wasn't able to sleep. The buildings were traditional (old) ones and the floors creaked. The family above me walked around all evening and the floors creaked. The family must have had a dog or a baby. During the entire morning, the baby (or the dog) ran around in the room constantly, loud pitter patter pitter patter. Windows didn't have a blind/shade option so it was total darkness (with electric lights on) or total lack of privacy. If I left the windows open for fresh air, the noise was too loud. If I closed the windows, the room was too stuffy. I was miserable and I checked out a day early, didn't even bother to ask about a refund. When I told the young lady at the front desk that I was checking out early, her response was NOT "Oh, is anything wrong? How can we help?". She said "Oh, great! Have a nice day!"

I like the location of the Spruce Lodge
Megan, the front desk agent, could use a little training on how to help guests. When I asked why my bill was higher than I quoted, I was told it’s my fault because I used Booking.com instead of their website. The additional charge was a credit card processing fee, which was not quoted when I booked the room.

The young girl at the desk was very nice and helpful. Very pleasant experience. Rooms are clean and smell fresh.
We had no problems at all.

Did not eat breakfast at the lodge. Clean
Bathroom very small. Commode very low. Steps to check in

Not the same breakfast that was advertised, but at least there was something.
Never saw any staff the whole time. No extra toilet paper, we ran out. Floors are very loud, beds are old and noisy. Not clean, had cobwebs in our room. Floor was not clean.

Beautiful old lodge. Some classic decor, great location, Decent continental breakfast, indoor space for working or hanging out, decent Wi-Fi and just next-door to a couple good bars and restaurants. Even though the rooms were small, the bathroom was quite large and in excellent shape. tough to beat the value.
Staff was borderline nonexistent, Which is an a major problem per se but it did leave a number of other guests wondering how to check in or what to do. It’s also quite thin walls and creaky. Luckily it was not crowded while we were there, but I could imagine it being quite loud if it was a full house. Our Faucet didn’t have cold water.

The breakfast was Continental because of Covid but was good. My only suggestion is to put coffee pots in the room.
We left a day early because it was rainy and all our destinations were outdoors. He decided to leave early even though he would still have to pay.

Nice rooms with updated bathroom. Ceiling fans were great to have. Complimentary breakfast was nice and added restaurant for paid breakfast was very good. Very friendly staff and good housekeeping when we requested it.
The mattresses were firmer than what we have but were ok. Could have used a lamp by the bed.
