Nice Clean Stay at Budget Motel

Whispering Palms was a nice, clean, affordable stay. The outside has fresh paint. The rooms are a nice size and clean. The show is a walk-in. The linens were clean, not the softest, but adequate. The family running the place were all very kind and provided great service.

This is a budget motel, and there’s really nothing that I disliked about this motel. The rooms were a little rough around the edges and the quilt was a bit worn.

great spot for a quick stop on our road trip. particularly enjoyed the wall art and friendly hosts.

super friendly hosts, variety of tv channels, cool art in common areas, easy close parking, close to the main road

my room had some damp issues in the bathroom (peeling wallpaper and what looked like mold)

Better value than chain hotels, good but not great.

Fairly clean, fridge in room, king size bed, large room, breakfast option

old carpet in room, breakfast was randomly closed from 7:30-7:50, weak toilet flush, I thought the price was a bit high, but competitive with the other area hotel rates.

we enjoyed our stay very much! It was only one night but the motel was comfortable and clean and met our needs!

I liked that it had an iconic feel about it!

Disappointing

Staff was friendly.

Bed was hard. Room smelled of vomit. Breakfast was to be included, however nobody showed up to open the lobby or breakfast area until after 7:45 am.

Good, clean practical place to stay.

Decent location for an overnight stay, near restaurants, etc. Friendly and welcoming hostess. Nice shower!

Breakfasts were the standard motel variety; nothing very appetizing, but didn't expect there to be.

The manager was very nice and welcoming! The room had a good size for that kind of hotels and was Very Clean the most important thing. Parking is inside the facilities, so your car is not parked outside. Good value for money. Breakfast was good with quality and healthy stuff, which is not very common everywhere else…

Interesting, kind owner. Rooms not quite as interesting.

Very clean room. Very kind and caring owner/manager. Slightly off the main street to reduce vehicle noise. Sufficient towels. Comfortable bed. Sufficient hot water and water pressure for a relaxing shower. Microwave and fridge (with freezer) were clean and functioned well.

Older property that has seen many renovation efforts, some more successful than others. Daylight gaps around the AC & door. No ice maker. No in-room coffee maker.

I'm impressed

Very polite in the front desk you can't find more friendly people and i have travel a lot. Clean room with a confortable bed for a good night sleep and basic breakfast included. they even let me stay a bit longer without extra charge. good value for the money. very close to airport and they provide me with a ride to airport for free. I will defently stay again and its recommended.

It was okay but the rooms and air conditioning can be updated.

The gentleman was very helpful and accommodating. He was polite and helped us with our booking reservations.

The air conditioning needs updating. We had to go buy a fan cause the room would not cool down and temp was set at 68.

Disappointing

We got rooms for family. We had a wedding in Del Río. Family member got to the room. There was clothes and bags already in there. He was told it was the bosses things. So he felt very uncomfortable and did not end up staying there. I do not blame him. He should’ve been given a different room. Was not offered.
