The cleaness , the price and the location next to the hot springs
The restaurants were closed

beautiful room and very private
Messaged about champagne in the room as an option a few days in advance and never heard back. Called day of and they couldn’t accommodate (no requests 24 hours in advance) although they have it as an option. Ultimately hard to reach anyone there.

Beautiful
No fridge in our room

Very nice clean and private rooms

The bed was comfortable and once renovations are complete, I can see the potential.
The front desk staff is severely under trained. No customer service and completely unaware of what rooms currently have what. Our "upgrades" from not getting the room we paid for didn't even work. We had no deep bath in our luxury king suite, and the steam shower wasn't working from a lack of parts installed. No ice machines in the hot summer, no hot water either. There was no purified water for our nespresso machine, so we had to use bathroom sink water to fill it up.

Everything! The Wes Anderson pool. The bed was Devine! The Milk House ice cream was so yummy! It was very chill!

the newly renovated building/room.

i love the new and updated room. they did a magnificent job upgrading everything. the bathrooms are nice the beds are comfortable and the balconies are super nice. My boys and husband were impressed. We did the crater experience and all of us loved it.
We had issues with our keys. we were helped each time but that meant we had to walk all the way to the front desk which was a little inconvenient. As of Feb 2023, they are in the middle of renovations to some of the cottages. parking is limited.

Pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance

The staff was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile, especially Chandler. The room as very nicely decorated and comfortable.
The hot tub wasn't very hot so disappointing. We liked the coffee (Nespresso) but it was set up where you could not plug it in and there were.no cups. An ice bucket was provided but no ice machine. The staff helped fix these oversights quickly.

The resort is stunningly beautiful - your perfect mountain retreat - and having the crater onsite to swim in is extremely spectacular and unique. The bed is honestly one of the most comfortable I had ever slept in.
Midway is a very gorgeous town to which the hotel is perfectly situated to explore.
Servers at the restaurant are fabulous. Food is great too (although a pretty limited menu).
Huge shout out to Isaac who helped return items left in the room to us with a lot of diligence and effort - highly appreciated.
Food options at the onsite restaurant were pretty limited.
Not sure if the room we were in just hadn't been used or maintained in a while, but it was covered with bugs everywhere, and the shower didn't drain so it was like a pool in the bathroom.
Biggest complaint is that I booked a room specifically for 2 adults and 2 children, booking a room which had a sofa bed - however when we checked in there was only one bed set up and nothing for the kids to sleep. Despite asking numerous times, this wasn't done until hours later after dinner. Very annoying given this is what I had booked so wasn't a last minute request by any means.

Razor rental
The whole place is under construction. Dirt roads, dust and dirt everywhere

we really like the full size jacuzzi. two people fit into it nicely.

The crater was interesting and the water was nice and warm.
The AC in our room was not as cool as it should have been.

it’s a beautiful location but the hotel was under renovation and my room had no air conditioning at 98 degrees! had to leave
they allowed me to book a room and were unable to provide a room with air conditioning in the hot summer. room was old and awful. had to climb stairs with bags

I liked the different activities they had to offer.
Our room was a little old.

Beautiful location
I mean if you're expecting something nice, this isn't the place for you. They're going through renovations on some buildings.. Hopefully more get it. It was probably renovated in the 80s. Carpet was old and gross. Couch just as old. Table was sticky. I wouldn't dare get in the jacuzzi tub. It was clean, but needed an overhaul. Bed was comfy. This is the perfect place for a newly wed couple to come for activities when you dont care about the room.

cute!
too much re-construction
1.5
cold- roads had big dips in it- Looks like a lot of construction was going on the view out our window was just a lot of construction type
nothing to do- the Restaurant was closed down so we didn’t even get to go eat there on our anniversary night, the whole reason we went there.

The views are beautiful, the room had so much potential with the space available. Bath tub is huge. The employees are all very nice.
I paid for a Luxury Suite to which in the pictures provided the room looked super cute and “modern country luxury”, however it was anything but LUXURIOUS. The room was terribly outdated. I refused to walk barefoot on the floor because the carpets feeling made me cringe. It didn’t have stains but it did look like it had been there since they opened the place and it felt every bit of that way too. The bath tubs plug was broken and although the room was equipped with two phones neither of them worked! So not only did I have to rely on my cell phone, that was in and out of service because of the location of the hotel, their Wifi just so happened to also be out. I asked and there wasn’t a room available that looked like the upgraded ones in the pictures. The room has so much potential to be great, be that as it may for the price I paid for one night I should have had top of the line experience and it certainly fell short.

It is beautiful and charming.
We had to change rooms twice. Our first room’s door didn’t work, the second room had no hot water. Our third room was fine but we didn’t enjoy it because we were irritated so we just went to bed. We were only given a $30 voucher for breakfast, which wasn’t out on our room’s account so we had to request a physical one at the front desk. That voucher ended up being a voucher for the crater, which we had already paid for. Thankfully, the waitress at breakfast just accepted it for a $30 voucher for our food.

No breakfast but dinner was really good and the staff was just amazing and accommodating.
More information up front about how swimming in the geyser/crater works so I could have prepared.

Loved the staff and the houses. So cute

Not far from dinning and golf. Loved the tub.. sitting on the patio drinking my coffee was wonderful.
Noisy upstairs people, but no big deal.

let your guest know the hot tubs are a disgusting cesspool of filth prior to checking in

Room was NOT air conditioned, was not ready at 3 pm, was filthy inside, not toilet paper in room, someone’s old towel hung up. THEY SHOULD DISCLOSE EHEN BOOKING THAT AC IS NOT WORKING. Small nails and screws in the parking area. I picked up seven. Not enough. Found one in my tire which I had to fix. I’ve stayed here every summer for years. I’m a Marriott million miler I will never use the homestead again.
Check in was horribly delayed. Housekeeping. Was terrible. No AC only portable swamp coolers which only humidified the room. Opened the doors and windows for ventilation and room filled up quickly with mosquitos. I stay an average of 150 nights a year in hotels. This was the worst single hotel experience I have ever had. Asked the front desk to have the owner or GM call me His response, “that won’t happen”. I do device consulting speeches for retailing. My new favorite subject. The Homestead. Midway Utah.
