As expected, clean rooms.
Booked to use hot tub but apparently closed due to chemicals but this is one of the dearest in Salt Lake. Chemicals can be added at 22:00 or after when no-one will be using ready for next day. Laundry room locked so couldn't dry clothes after 500 hundred miles onmotorcycle journey on pouring rain. Good job room heater/Air condition worked to warm Room and dry clothes.
The receptionist smirked when I said how do you use hot tub, when asked for reduction he said we have been here 4 hours, stop. I have only asked about using hot tub & you never said there was no hot tub when we booked In. Then informed manager is off till Monday and at home. Good phone him now, granted he did & spoke & informed manager will speak to me in the morning.

I made a "reservation" on booking.com. When I arrived at the motel, I was told there was no room available for me. The attendant scribbled some address on a scrap of paper and told me go to that address, and they would have a room for me. No thanks, not interested in a bait and switch. Never trusting booking.com again.

There was a gate you had to access to park our car.
When we got to the hotel, another lady was trying to book a room. When I told him I had a reservation, he told the lady he didn't have anymore rooms available if I had a reservation. He acted surprised I had a reservation and had to look a couple of times to find the reservation.
The room had stains everywhere (floor, ceiling, walls, mattress) and their was a cigarette hole in the mattress cover. It smelled like cigarettes and body odor. We are still trying to get the smell out of what we took into the room.
Also, we were charged twice (once by booking.com and once by discovery inn). I let booking.com know and Nick from Discovery Inn replied that I had used 2 different credit cards and he didn't know which one to refund, which I only used one credit card as shown on my credit card transactions. I called Discovery inn a couple of times to get this fixed but no one answered the phone.

The room was newly updated and clean. Our queen beds were very comfortable, and the location was quiet. Fridge worked great. Micro was small but served our needs perfectly. Also had coffee service for two, small hand lotions, shampoo, and soaps. Only had one hand towel but two of all the others. I'm sure we could've requested a 2nd if we chose to. We felt lighting options were good, and the AC/heating unit worked great and was thankfully quiet!
Also, on/off access to interstate was easy. There were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Gas stations galore nearby and a Sam's Club for gas not too far away. If you need groceries or misc supplies, there's even a 24-hour WINCO easily accessed just on the other side of the interstate.
We will be passing thru SLC again in July, and we've already made our reservations. In our view, a great value for the price.
The parking lot is a bit uneven. We have mobility issues so had to be very careful not to stumble on unseen rises or dips in the asphalt. Otherwise, there was plenty of moving around area in the lot.

Bathroom was extra clean. Was able to get downstairs unit.
Not a coffee maker in room. Hair dryer broken. Heater had to be manually turned on and off. No auto working. Prices higher for multiple night stays.

The only good about this location was the little restaurant that was across in the same parking lot.
There was drug paraphernalia in the stairwell people were doing drugs in the stairwell. The room was run down and dirty and smelled. I had my own blankets thank goodness and pillow. There were people in and out all night look like they were dealing drugs. There was people sleeping under the stairs in the walk hallway! This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed!! It should have been free. If there was 0 I would have chose that! Absolutely disgusting and scary!

super-dated…furniture was college dorm reject quality except for the mattress—the bed was quite comfortable.

Nice restaurant next door. Easy to find.

Nothing.
This is not a location and it does not feel safe at all. Read the Google reviews to know more. There are plenty of less sketchy places nearby.
