Location and ability to plug in boat.
I had to get a new key 7 times. Room door wouldn’t lock. They ran out of towels and Wash cloths. Pool smelled bad was hazy with a layer of slime on top. Hot tub was not functional and had 2” of yellow water in it. Coffee was terrible.

Nothing we liked
The minute we went into our room we wanted to leave!! It wreaked of mold so bad, we called check out to see if we could switch rooms and was told hotel was full. But nothing to see if they could accommodate us in any other way.
We couldn’t sleep do to the mold had to cover our noses, there was a motored cycle rally next door ( which I know is out of the hotels control) and the bathroom was disgusting!
We had to adjust our schedule due to not wanting to be in that room, left in the morning only to come back to get our belongings early evening to check out!!!
When I handed in the card at check out I told the receptionist I was checking out early didn’t want to waste my breath because the attitudes of the employees was obvious they didn’t care about their jobs! She took the card and said nothing.
Most places would ask was there a reason your leaving early could we have done anything? Something!!
I paid for 2 nights stayed 1 and didn’t even want to do that!! The rooms were not cheep because they hike up the prices taking advantage of the guests when they come for college graduation weekend which is why we were there. I will never stay at a BestWestern again!!

1st floor room available
the pool doors going to the outside were open. both the door going out and both siding glass doors. any passer by could of come in and been able to get into hotel from pool. closed door when we checked in and again when we returned from dinner.
Also the side door going into hotel kept being propped open with a rock. we removed each time we entered or exited.

nothing
front desk lady act like they can’t do anything! The manager is horrible and they lied about having a corporate office

The beds had new mattresses. The room was very clean. The breakfast had a selection of hot and cold items. Plenty to choose from. I liked the staff and the assistance to any question or concern that I might have. They were also helpful with directions to local restaurants and shopping. This location is not far from Southern University and about 50 miles from Paducah Ky if you cannot find a place close during the Quilt Shows. If you stay here ask to be on the second or third floor facing West. It is mush quieter. Also they have an indoor pool for the kiddos and a hot tub for adults.
No fault of the hotel, but there is road construction going on. The exit ramp to go South on HWY 57 is closed. You must go out of the motel and take a right. Follow this road until you get the the main st in Marion. Take another right and then turn right on to 57 South to Ciro. This was in April 2023. They may have the exit open soon.

The whole place smelled like cigarette smoke. The outside door entrance didn't close so anyone could come in the hotel without a key.

A bunch of kids ranging from 16 up trying to break my door down because they had the wrong room..

good location
there was an altercation in the pool area!

We loved the hottub, and the pool. The location was good right off the intersate and close to everything. The breakfast was good.
The beds wasnt comfortable and seemed really small. I reserved a king suite but it was right in front of the lobby doors with no privacy asked for a room switch, and ended up getting a downgrade with no price change.

staff was nice.
The hot tub wasn’t hot. The bed wasn’t comfortable

The convenience is great just off the highway and 15 mins to SIU.
The fact the a pubic hair was found in the area of the sink. And there was a part from the bed rail sticking out that could possibly do damage to a guest.

Breakfast was decent, although yogurt was frozen, and staff was nice.
The elevator was out, and all ice was on the second floor. The place was clean, but pretty dingy.
