History of the building and friendliness of staff and interaction with other customers
3.0
Staff and food were great, breakfast was very nice, happy hour seemed to be a very nice spread of food etc, the place is cute and the rooms ok but a bit pricy for what you get. Great location.
The bed was too hard and squeaked. Fan in bathroom was too loud, needs to be replaced, although a historical landmark, for me the furnishing was less than desirable.
4.5
Wonderful staff, great location, beautiful rooms, best breakfast ever, nice hot tub/relaxing area, and easy checkout.
Parking was difficult but that was due to city roadwork not the lodge. Staff immediately accommodated us

This hotel is right in the center of the village. But once inside, it feels like you're in a cabin high up on the mountain. It is very cosy. The staff is also very friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. In addition, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm they offer complimentary soup, cheese, fruit and wine. Which is appreciated after having been skiing all day. Also, that's a good time to interact with other guests. From Frisco, you have several ski resorts within a 20-minute drive. Recommended hotel.
Our room was a bit small, and being a family of 4, we were a bit cramped as there was little space to put our suitcases. The beds, despite being comfortable, have too many covers. A single duvet would be enough.

Great spot right in Frisco, two blocks from the Summit County stage bus. AMAZING made-to-order breakfast and the (free!) happy hour drinks and snacks was such a great bonus!
A little loud if your neighbors are rowdy. (It's an older building so that is prob. to be expected)

I’ve always loved the property I’ve gazed at it for years, looked in its windows, and just imagined what it would be like to stay there. I wasn’t disappointed, I’m glad to say. The commaradity of my fellow skiers at breakfast in the morning and in the happy hour at night. Well done

Location
Was not a typical bed and breakfast. Building we stayed in was a typical 2 motel.

I loved the friendly atmosphere that was created by having breakfast with the other guests and the evening happy hour and snacks was so fun! The premises were decorated with lots of flowers 😃We had great conversations with the waiter and met the other guests. We really enjoyed using their bikes too!
Everything was delightful! No complaints.

Location
250 a night is expensive for a room with a broken fridge door, no turn service, old coffee grounds in the filter when we arrived, and just very little space. I wouldn't mind the small size and minimalist feel at all if it were 100 dollars less per night. They price gauge you on location, but the service does not reflect that price.

Staff personable and helpful.

very cute place. great location. excellent breakfast. best waffles we had ever.
the room was a little bit small for 5 of us.

location was wonderful. located right on Main Street. close to everything.
The room was very small for 4 people. it was very outdated. One of the beds, sheets were dirty and someone experienced itching from the bed and a bite. Soap within the bathroom was almost all alcohol and when asked for more the next one was very watery.

Best free breakfast in any hotel/bed and breakfast that I’ve ever been in. LOVE it, plus the happy hour they have every day where they serve snacks and free wine. the staff are very accommodating, the beds are pretty comfy and the hot tub was awesome too.
No A/C. we’ve been here before and it wasn’t a problem but this time, it had to get up to 78-79 degrees in our room each night. We had multiple fans, we kept the window open and it was in the 50s at night but for some reason could not get the room to cool down. kept waking up hot. There were only two of us in a room that fit 3 too.

Right in the heart of Frisco, CO, this lodge has the feel of a 19th century “Old West” hotel. I believe it’s been here since 1885 and you can imagine yourself back in the period, or in a movie set in the Old West.
Clean, good service, amenities such as coffee and free snacks available all the time, free full breakfast, happy hour with finger food and two glasses of wine included. Very comfortable common areas. With obvious attention to every detail, this lodge is not just a place to put your head down, it’s an experience.
No A/C though that’s ameliorated by open windows and fans, cooler weather due to the altitude, makes it more or less a non-issue in all but the hottest days of summer.
Not really a “don’t like” but some rooms (like mine) have a shared bathroom. The owner called me immediately upon booking to make sure I knew that. Which I did but her calling me to be certain is an example of the attention to detail and dedication to guest services and satisfaction.

Nice location in the heart of Frisco within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. Breakfast was awesome, as was the free happy hour wine. It was my wife's birthday, and they gave her a free bottle of prosecco. A nice touch that I didn't expect.
Bathroom was a little cramped.
