Very cheap motel

Cheapest and I mean the cheapest place in town. Greeted by name on arrival. Room is sanitized with no smells, no stains, no bugs. The owner is clearly working very hard to keep this motel in business despite some unsavory guests in the area. Don't be surprised to see a big list of rules in the office stating no pets, no visitors, no cooking in room, no porn movies...

Getting in and out of the parking lot safely is tricky because there is limited space to turn. The rooms have clothing irons attached to rusted chains, partly open battery cover on the smoke detector (still functional), and styrofoam blocks stuffed in front of the cable box to prevent removal. Don't get me wrong, the linens and room are completely clean. But it's like visiting a motel from 1997.

Exceptional

The Beacon is great nice management and good ppl... Out of all of the Hotels and Motels in that area in Long Beach on PCH between Long Beach Blvd and Golden Ave The Beacon Inn is the most affordable and reliable....

THAT THE ICE MACHINE IS THERE BUT NOT ALWAYS ON OR AVAILABLE....other than that no complaints here...

Location is sketchy & unsafe w/ homelessness walking on the streets outside hotel but room is big

Room & bathroom is big. TV serves its purpose.

Hair dryer not working. Bed sheets and pillows are not clean, strands of hair seen visible inside the pillow case. Deco of the room is out of date/ dated. Location is not the safest, homelessness is seen walking around the vicinity, area around the hotel is too quiet at night, it feels sketchy and unsafe to be outside so advisable to stay inside the room and locked the room lockset once inside. Hotel frontdesk attendant knocked on all room doors to remind guest to check out at 10am 30mins before, but told the guests it is 15mins to check-out time but in fact it is 30mins to check-out time. Hotel is not gated which makes it unsafe & exposed to the street which anyone can be walking into the hotel vicinity including walking up to the doors of guests' rooms which makes it highly unsafe to be outside especially when night falls.

The place was quiet. The room was roomy and the bathroom was spacious. Would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented its self.

The property owner was a bit rude.

The owner seemed exceptionally paranoid about everything - made the clients feel like potential criminals. He treated everyone like they were little children who needed to be scolded. On the morning of checkout, he paced the parking lot (despite how small it was) for three hours - like he was just waiting to catch someone at something.

How they treat people. Very argumentative at check-in and will knock on the doors in the morning an hour before checkout to remind you that you are not welcome.

You get what you pay for. Was not expecting much but the experience was very weird.

Has all the basics for an ok stay. Cheap. Good bathroom. Has fridge,

Staff was weird and unfriendly. Did not give me wifi. Dirty floor. Bed sheets had holes and were not clean. Noise outside from other guests. Someone rammed their car into the front gate in the middle of the night.

This hotel was horrifying rude and trust me Ive never been woken up at 9 am to check out before. Nothing was to be liked about this place

Do not ever come stay here. Beacon Motel feels like its trying to close

Decent room but it didn't make up for the lousy managment and trash littered neighbhorhood.

Decor was modern and nice. Room appeared fairly clean.

Older gentlemen who checked me in was pretty rude and and intrusive. Never stated bicycles were not allowed before I made my reservation and he charged me $10 extra to keep my expensive and clean bicycle inside the room. The next morning he knocked on the door at 08:55 demanding I checkout by 9 (even though the sign says 10:00). It's not the first bad experience I've had at these cheap motels in Los Angeles area. Just spend the extra $20 and get a real room at a nicer hotel.

i didn’t stay and got charged and robbed

attendant was rude, tried to give me a queen room after I hand booked and paid for a king online, he insisted that it was a king and I told him “ I know a king bed and this is a queen. then he shows me the next room which was neat i booked. he then proceeds to show me a list of rules that are not posted on the website. this motel was run like a group home l. i decided I was not comfortable here and asked for a refund instead. the attendant just was not letting me speak. might have been a language barrier but I know ride when I’m experiencing it.

A very horrible experience, and worst stay at a hotel i’ve ever had.

My stay was horrible. I didn’t like anything about my stay.

My stay was horrible. Made me pay extra undocumented fees in cash. And made me check it earlier then check out time initially told and posted on site and basically kicked me out my room. TV also did not work. Came knocking.bud disturbing way beyond check out time.

it was terrible wouldn't recommend it to anyone

the restroom was clean.

the bed sheets had white stains on them.They were rough and disgusting, the tv would come on and off without us even touching it. The staff in the front was rude and kept our identification even though we had already paid and refused to give them back. When I pulled the sheets to lay down there was bugs we immediately left because it was disgusting.Parking was terrible there is only one way in an out and its dangerous.

motel owner was unwelcoming. I arrived 10 a.m. just to leave my luggage with the motel and come back for 1 pm check-in. He refused to accommodate my request. Finally, he angrily told me to come back 11:30 am. I had to get an Uber to a Starbucks nearby and came back around 1:20 p.m., he complained that I did not come back 11:30 a.m. as told. Next morning he was knocking on my door at 9:00 a.m. and expected me to check out, while check out time is 10:00 a.m. This man should not be in the hospitality business.
