Clean, pretty good breakfast
Forgot a metal water bottle in the lobby, which was found by the day staff and put in lost and found…great. When I went to retrieve it they said it was misplaced by later staff…obviously one of the later staff decided to take it for the themselves, which is disappointing and makes them a thief. Won’t stay there again.
Update, only after the above review posted manager called to ask about the issue, then next day, suprise suprise found the bottle, offered to ship it to me if I provide him a credit card...trouble is how could I trust them after these shenanigans, he should have offered to ship it to me free of charge since they misplaced it in their own lost and found. So now 'maybe' they're not theifs, but just inept and poor customer service. Still won't stay there anymore, or probably at any La Quinta.

It was nice to have a hotel with an outdoor pool. The pool was kept clean and there was always towels available so we didn't have to use our room towels to dry off.
Lock your vehicles and take your valuables. We didnt have anything happen, however, the motel nextdoor was less than desirable and created constant foot traffic. The plus is La Quinta has decent lighting in their parking lot all the way around the hotel.
The beds were absolutely horrible!! I wish someone would have expressed this in the previous reviews. Literally felt like we were sleeping on plywood with a sheet. The first 4 nights of our stay were absolutely miserable and I literally could not physically sit up in the morning without my husbands help. We decided to get an air mattress to sleep on which was a life saver!!
There was a horrible odor in our 1st floor hall in the evening... a mix between wet carpet and sewage. Our room also smelled like wet carpet every time we came in.
The AC never got cold cold. It was set on 66 but never really got cold.
Although house keeping kept the lobby clean, the rooms were less attended to. We checked in on Saturday and had to ask the front desk on Wed if housekeeping could come by to change sheets and refresh our towels. We were told by a rude lady at the front desk that it was "too late" and if they have time she would have them stop by. This was sometime between 1-2pm! They did make it by which was much appreciated but the fact that we had been there 4 nights and they never offered housekeeping was disappointing. Also, the towels and bathroom had black hairs everywhere! My family all has light hair so who knows....

The staff was really nice and catering to our needs. The room was clean and well maintained.
The bed might have been the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept in. Also the ice machine right outside our door was a hang out spot for teens at 11p.m. and i had to tell them to please turn the music off because i have a 3 year old sleeping and it's 11 p.m. they were very sorry and did immediately stop. I think having a room in the back were a maintenance room usually is, by the ice machine was poor design.

I requested a first floor room when I made the reservation through booking.com. I am a single woman traveling with 2 cats and all the equipment that goes along with that. I arrived and was told I would have to be on the second floor because my room category was not available on the first floor. Apparently, this is a function of my booking through a third party vendor. There were no more than 10 cars in the parking lot. There were first floor rooms available. My complaint, besides the “the computer won’t let me change it” service from the front desk, is that I made this request with ample time for it to be addressed. I simply would have booked a different hotel or selected a room type that accommodated first floor accommodation. The front desk employee told me they do not look at requests. I am not sure if I just shouldn’t use Booking.com or if the issue lies with the hotel. In any case, I expected to receive what I requested days ago or for the hotel to be able to make a change.

comfortable bed
The woman that called me at 2:00pm to tell me she was going to cancel my reservation. check in was at 3:00pm she told me if I didn’t give her a credit card number over the phone she would cancel my reservation. I told her I was actually in the area waiting to check in I could come by and pay she told me no check in is at 3:00pm. She had to have a credit card number right then. I told her I don’t give that information over the phone. she said she was canceling the room and hung up.
I booked the room on Booking.Com and chose the pay at property. They wanted to charge me before I got there. 15 minutes later a guy calls me and said it would be ok to just pay when I got there.
