The entire room is so nice, the beds are sooo comfortable as well as the pillows. The breakfast was really good. Easy access to the freeway.

Belle at the front desk was wonderful. The first night, our room was very noisy with outside noise. Belle helped us secure a better room and it met our needs. She was professional, courteous, and personable. An asset to the property.

It's always nice when traveling with family to have a little more space than you would find in a standard hotel room. The two-bedroom king suite had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a small living room and a nice size kitchenette. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were decent sized. The breakfast was pretty typical of hotels in this price range that offer a free breakfast. Nothing special, good coffee, a couple hot choices (including oatmeal) and a selection of bread and bagels for toasting. Housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful.
Check in was okay -- be aware that there is a $22.00 per day charge for parking in the hotel's underground garage. This was not clearly indicated through booking.com, though the hotel says it is noted on the Marriott website. The room was clean, but there was a lot of dust on surfaces like the bottom of the chairs and behind the tvs. One of the bathroom showers dripped and the toaster in the room was broken.

I did not like the fact that there was very few cars that could park for free around the front of the hotel, so I had to pay $18 for parking (per day). It was a cost that I would have preferred to know about before renting the hotel room so I could have made better cost comparisons when searching for hotels in the area. But I was still happy with my stay.

What we liked was that the room was fully equipped with the stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker etc.
Was extremely disappointed that when we finally decided to go to bed our sheets had old blood stains all over. We had eaten dinner in our room this evening and decided to start the dishwasher because we had a good amount of dirty dishes. 30 min into the wash the floors were completely soaked in water. The dishwasher had a nasty leak. Called receptionist and she changed our room, so at 12:30am we are repacking and moving to another room. We get to the other room and as soon as we opened the door a horrible smell came out. It smelled like somebody had died in the room. Called receptionist again to tell her the problem and she moved us once again. Once we got to the new room we unpacked and got ready for bed and realize that the room is horribly hot. Tried adjusting thermostat about 6 times with no change. We had to open the windows to let air in since it was too hot to be able to sleep. Next day we had to leave early since I had to get chemo at ucsd and was gone until 4:30pm. When we got off the elevator we ran into a manager and asked him if he could help us with our A/C. The man came and moved things on the thermostat and said that it was going to start getting cool.The room felt like a sauna extremely hot I called receptionist and she sent maintenance. Maintenance guy came up and rebooted the system and he said that in 10 min it was going to start getting cool, he said he would return after 10 to make sure it was working well. Maintenance man came back after 10 min and rechecked the a/c and it was still not working so he moved around some things in the thermostat again and said that now it was working so he left. I gave it about an hour and the room felt very hot so I called downstairs again and told them our room was 76 and that it wasn’t cooling. By this time I’m upset because the whole reason for renting a hotel room was so I could rest well after my chemo treatment which resulted in this no rest problem because of the heat.

Breakfast was OK but because of Covid we could not serve ourselves which would have been better. The location would be better if it looked out over the pool area which was right there but blocked.

The staff was excellent and the morning coffee was delicious. The room was comfortable, although our TV broke the last day, but the hotel comped us $50 for the inconvenience.
At this stage of the pandemic, I think that the Residence Inn could provide a buffet breakfast! We have recently stayed at other hotels in the Bay area and back East where the hotels are now serving full breakfasts! We don't like the grab and go breakfasts when a "breakfast included" is indicated in the advertisements. Also, the hotel should say that parking is an extra charge!

We loved our stay in Del Mar. The facility was clean, parking was easy. They provide a bagged breakfast which was fine. The thing we loved most was the two bathrooms in the two bedroom suite. Very rare for a hotel, but made things easier on our family. We would stay again.
