Dripping tap, toilet run on, phone wire loose, no ice, no hangers, fridge not working, no kleenex

The bed was comfortable

Arriving in the late afternoon in hot weather on my motorcyle, I had a reservation for one night. The desk attendant behind a swinging plexglass divider was imposibble to hear. Ther.e was a gap of about 6 inches between the counter top and the base of the divider so I leaned down to hear the greeting. On the third effort the wispered greeting was: "Driver's Licence". Two other words were uttered, whcih I heard better you leanign around the end of the plexiglass: "Credit Card". I requested a ground floor room because of all my gear. He searched in silence and then told me that I could have a ground floor roon, a handycap room. I said that was fine and headed to the assigned room. While there was a coat hanger rack, there were no hangers, so I returned to the desk with my request. After at least five minutes of wating I was given two of the theft-proof nipple hangers but I told him that there were no hooks for the nipples. He told me there were. I took the two hangers, returned to the room, took photos to show the basic small bar, retunred to the desk with the two wrong hangers (I really needed more) and showed him my photos. He said he would look and he would come to my room. However, I discovered that the small refridgerator was not working although it was plugged in and rotating the temperature control did not make anything happen. I had brough one Bud Light with me which, after a long day in the saddle, I was looking forward to enjoying. There was, however, an ice bucket so I went to the ice machine down the hall and it was just a hot running compressor but no ice, just noises. Asked if there was any ice in the hotel, he suggested that I go to one of the neighbour hotels and ask as then are cooperative. I was not about to do that so I envented a solution.

Overpriced for a room of questionable cleanliness

+ I really liked the front-desk clerk, who had a great sense of humor and was able to communicate the hotel's rules in a firm but very friendly manner. + The room had a fridge and microwave, which was nice. + For me, the location was convenient — I was meeting up with family for a trip, and the Super 8 was directly on their route — but it's not what I would consider 'well situated' for anything but the airport and VA-117 / I-81. + Nice to have a Waffle House (and Mexican restaurant) so close by, and I'm still kind of sad I didn't give into temptation for a late-night meal there.

- I'm not usually reluctant to sleep on hotel sheets, but this Super 8 gave me pause. There was a huge stain on the bedspread, and one of the pillows had an... unpleasant odor. - Pillows were pretty flimsy, and there were only 2 of them on a double bed, so tough cookies if you're staying with someone else and you like to double up on pillows (or if one of your pillows stinks). - I spotted at least one bug in my room, though it was a harmless beetle of some sort, so no big deal. - This was not a $79 hotel room. This was more like a $40 hotel room.

It was fine overall. For the price it was fair.

Pillows need replaced. Had a stained sheet. Room didn’t smell the best. Customer service was ok.. as far as the usual hotel room accommodations it was good.

awful, never ever recommend anyone

nothing , I have pictures of what appears to be a blood spot on the comforter of the bed. we called as soon as we got to the room with super 8 and requested a refund and went elsewhere . have not gotten my money back yet . the clerk looked very unprofessional, office smelled like pot, handrail broke going to the third floor and room was very nasty

location and front desk lady was very polite and kind

It was a terrible room, we should have left. Needing refurbished in all aspects. In bathroom water dripped in bath tub constantly(brown stain under drip). Shelve holding towels in bathroom was rusted. Bedspread on both bed needs replaced, pillows also need replaced. Hallways smelled of cigarette smoke, room wasn’t bad smelling, the staff member was in room when we went there and was spaying something around that smelled like a bleach. The spray masked the smell very well. We were only there overnight as we were traveling.

The refrigerator was not working. I asked for a refund and was told no. I lost my entire booking fee because I did not stay there. The staff were very unfriendly and nasty. I also paid 40.00 cash for a pet fee for the two nights, but didn't stay, but they would not refund me that either. Will likely never stay at another Wyndham hotel
