Unfortunate

The minute I stepped in the hotel room I smelled cigarettes very strong once I smelled that I didn’t even care about seeing what breakfast is like there. first impression was not good.

I somehow got put in a handicap room for the elderly . I was there with my gf in a weekend getaway to Maine for our 15 anniversary. The guy there was snotty and would not accommodate me as a costumer who just paid almost 700 for a crappy room

Excellent experience except coffee,shampoo wish there was more ice machines available

Convenient, staff was helpful. Room was nice. It was clean.

Wished there was an ice machine on each floor. Was on 3rd floor and had to go to 1st ti get ice. Had coffee in room but only supply to make one cup for a couple. Never given more coffee or shampoo etc for 2nd day stay

Clean comfortable rooms with professional workers , pool , Wi-Fi , fridge , microwave & modern looking rooms.

The location was great. Very convenient for our time here and where we were going. Hotel was very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay an additional night.

Great place for the money. Not far away from Old Orchard Beach.

The front desk staff was very accommodating. He was professional, friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The place was clean and quiet.Great breakfast!

If you opened the windows at night you could hear the traffic along route 1. Easy fix, don't open the windows and run the AC!

The room was comfortable.

There was only one tiny trash can in the bathroom. Would have liked another bigger one in the room. Would have liked either drawers to put clothes in, or a luggage rack instead of needing to always move my luggage around.i had to go to the front desk 3 times during my 2 day stay to have my key card reprogrammed to unlock my room door. The location was inconvenient because you can only make a right turn to leave the property.

Nothing stood out

No house keeping services even when asked. Front desk staff did not know anything about the area and could not recommend any food restaurants. When asked to help explain directions, they resorted to their cell phone. When returning to the hotel in the evening staff were grouped together in the corner of the parking lot with one employee urinating on the grass.

The one good thing about the hotel was the kid that came upstairs to fix our TV was amazing and they brought my daughter an entire mattress instead of a cot to sleep on blankets sheets and pillows and they even made her bed

Our TV didn't work, and we had 2 children with us, the bathroom shower was dirty, there were used shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap left on the corner shelf of the shower, there was garbage on the floor in the bathroom, there was no trash cans, the outside looks like a dump, because they're renovating the 2nd floor but all the garbage and materials are right out front, only workers cars were there, so I had to call, to make sure they were open, there we're a bunch of homeless people Right next to the property in a huge homeless camp and the people that were staying there were actually living there, inside the hotel, it liked like a bunch of homeless people. We found a pill on the floor, right outside the elevator, on our floor, and they even charged me $200 extra for my daughter for 2 nights when it was supposed to be $25 each night so I'm fighting to get my $150 back, and the whole reason I chose that hotel, was because it had a pool, which was completely empty of water, and not even posted! If you want a place to feel safe with your family, skip this place! They can update the rooms, but it's everything else, that should keep you away! This place is better suited, for what I call, 'botty calls'!

Staff was friendly, room was reasonably clean. TV worked. It felt safe and in a good business district with food and convince stores within walking distance.

The halls of hotel were not very clean and the smelled of cigarette smoke. Ice machine on 2nd floor was out of order and soda machine on 1st was sold out. Pool was not available. There were no washcloths in the room. View was of a roof of the carport.

I had the wrong dates and the manager wouldnt move my reservation yet there were plenty of open rooms. I was stuck and had to pay a higher rate on the spot. No breakfast.

bad publicity no breakfest these not many peoples in the hotel and they give us a room near the elevator more noise and no view outside the view we have is the carpote (top of the lobby we are very sad about this !!! its not the first time we take comfort inn hotel but probably the last time !!

the location

it was dirty inside and out. trash and furniture laying around the property. very cold inside the building. there was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom right over the toilet, and when going to the bathroom we got dripped on! we had to pack all our stuff up and switch room. there wasn’t any shampoo or tissues in the room, we had to go ask for them. the ice machine was broken down. it was my worst stay at a comfort inn

The staff was pleasant and polite

The first room we had the TV didn't work the fridge was broke and the blankets were dirty. The second room they switched us to the heater would not shut off it was set at 80, and ran continually all night. The room keys also didn't work.They said all rooms were sold out so they couldn't change our room. While we were in the lobby 3 other couples were also complaining about their room. I just feel bad for the lady at the front desk who has to take all these complaints

dirty room upon arrival there was a cork from a wine bottle on the floor under the edge of the bed skirt . toilet seat had hair all over it. the floors left our socks dirty on the bottoms. dirty elevator and hallways. rude staff. screwed up the reservation from Booking.com and argued with me when I had my email confirmation showing they were wrong. I had mad a separate reservation made directly to the hotel and had called several times to verify both reservations. the pool was dirty the hallway smelled like marijuana

Disappointing

The person working the front desk/ lobby was rude and unprofessional. For the online booking we requested an early check-in (12p to 1p instead of 3p). When we arrived at 12:30p the person at the front desk immediately told us we couldn’t check in and her tone was rude. She also didn’t bother to say “hello” to us when we walked in and even suggested that our bed sheets might not be washed. The checkin process was very unwelcoming and bizarre.

Dog or cat feces dried on carpet. Staff called to clean it. Just moved it around with a carpet cleaner while laughing about it. Mold all over bathroom. Pictures don’t lie! Do not stay here. Wife would not go under the covers which were stained.

Weather was great, beaches were great Splash water park was great,.......HOTEL EXPERIENCE HORRIBLE.

Size of the room only. The beds and sofa bed were spaced well. The air conditioner worked well.

Pool was broken and closed. The elevator was dirty, the rooms were not clean. Food crumps on table/desk, chair, carpets. Refrigerator leaked and left wet carpet, micro wave dirty, toilet had not been cleaned, no linens of pillow for the pull out sofa bed, only the one roll of TP paper that was no the roll. Towels= 2 bath, 1 hand towel, 2 wash cloths. for 4 PERSONS occupancy. When we went down to desk, a lovely young clerk came up and ATTEMPTED to clean with some cleaning cloths. My daughter actually had to show her and help her as she did the toilet FIRST and then attempted to clean the desk/table are with the same cloth! This was not her fault, obviously not her job. Once these issues were addressed we went to bed and got up the next morning to see the manager. I asked him is he wanted to have a private conversation and he said no, this is fine....he was behind counter, I was in the front in the lobby where people were coming and going. I explained my concerns and he told me if I was unhappy, he would adjust my bill (take off the next night) and we could go find another place to stay. I said No, don't you have another room that is cleaned properly and supplied with proper linens and TP and a refrigerator that does not leak. He gave me the key to the one next door and I said we wanted to look at it before we moved our stuff. Again, sand on the bed and hassock, food on the desk/table and chair, coffee rings on the bedside stands, tub and sink had not been properly cleaned. So we decided to keep the one WE had cleaned to our satisfaction. With only 2 had boiled eggs, dry cereal and a couple of yogurt available for breakfast and no pool for the kids to swim in, I asked the manager for an adjustment. He again told me "you can check out now, and I won't charge you for tonight's room". He was so rude and not at all professional..........even though I was trying my best to be that way.

Never again.

The women cleaning the rooms was very friendly and professional. She seemed to keep a very good attitude even though the hotel was very understaffed and she was the only cleaning person on shift.

Immediately as we arrive we are greeted at the counter by a man that seemed to think if he let out a smile would be struck by lightning on the spot. No friendly smile, no kind greeting, just a few simple words..”Last name please”. (I give him my name) “ I’m sorry but your room will not be ready till 3:00.” Okay then. I go out for coffee, come back at 3:00, get my key, go up to my room to find the door propped open and the cleaning cart outside. The room had not been fully clean yet. We waited in the hallway bag in hand till she finished up. She was stunned the front desk would give us a key knowing the room had not been ready. I went to get a drink from the vending machine but to my surprise, all 3 machines were out of order. I went to get ice in the morning to make ice coffee, you guessed it!.. ice machine is broken. Oh and no continental breakfast because, of coarse “COVID”. I really hope the “new normal” isn’t that customers are told to except the fact that we should get use to understaffed facilities, unfriendly personnel, and higher rates because we should consider ourselves lucky to be getting any service at all in this new era. Listen, if you can’t keep enough good people, or find it too hard to keep your facility fully operational, do us a favor and close your doors. Don’t lead paying customers to believe you can handle the demand , take their money, and then underperform. Maybe the friendly, professional, cleaning lady can teach the head staff some pointers.

Awful place

The proximity to beach and stores was ok.

The hotel is dirty! The staff were unwilling to do anything about any issues and rude. There was mold in our bathroom, the vending machines were empty, the continental breakfast was an absolute joke. The pool was not heated and not clean! The outside door at the end of the hall was broken so anyone could enter at any time. The lawn was not mowed and junk just sitting around.

It was a good value and a good location to beaches and Portland.

Staff responded quickly to replace malfunctioning coffee machine. Room was clean and comfortable.

-room key took three tries -tv remote wasn't connected to Tv -drain in tube didn't drain fast enough -mirror light in Bathroom didn't work Mold/mildew in corners of tub. -staff couldn't be bothered to get out of their seats.

Cold breakfast and somedays none as no time listed for the breakfast....No appropriate covers for hot coffee/........No microwave in room for Higher priced room,,,trash all over outside

Pool was closed. Breakfast sucked. Toilet seats were broken. Rooms were not clean. Blood stains on carpet and on beds. Didn’t make sure we had extra stuff during our stay. Black mold in stairwell and garbage was everywhere outside

Pillows were comfortable.

The room was not clean. I dont think the sheets had been changed. Stuff on floor. Dead bolt didn't lock. Door to ajoining room was not locked. There was no breakfast provided.

Look elsewhere

It’s located near the holy donut store.

Property was poorly maintained. The door to my room had a pretty wide gap so it wouldn’t lock properly. Pillowcases had stains and the bathroom door was damaged. Room smelled of cigarettes. Elevator was dirty too. Table lamp had a broken bulb.
