The disrepair of the room

Location
No water pressure to shower, toaster in kitchen didn’t work, the spicket to the waffle batter broke and batter ran all over the place, no one there to clean it up. Air conditioner in room didn’t start working until 1:30 am. $200+ to stay there was ridiculous never again

It was near Miami University
Just seemed extremely rundown like the entire building needs an overhaul inside and out. The toilet barely wanted to flush and there was nothing major happening in the toilet 😅
8.0
Close to town so I could walk. Premises were clean and my room was very quiet. Was eating away from the hotel so did not try the breakfast. Least expensive hotel in town; good value for the money compared to other hotels.
Could have used a little more hot water in the shower. That's about it.

The toilets were really bad. The room I stayed , it would not flush .Very annoying situation as I was with my daughter . I had to change room . The toilet in other room also was not effective. Needed 2 - 3 times flushing

Location
It was dirty and needs a serious cleaning. Cabinets in eating area have a layer of sticky grime on them.

Fruit flies on breakfast display. Food looked of so poor quality that I kept on walking.
Property was run down. Hair dryer did not work. Hallway smelled like marijuana on second floor. Just a horrible value for over $200 per night. Forced to stay there because few options in the town so hotels gouge people. Hotel was straight out of the 1980s. Brought my own sheet as I did not want to sleep under the covers. Hairs in the shower. Fan in room clicked on and off repeatedly all night on 15 sec intervals.

the free breakfast was awful. Fruit flies everywhere. Food wasn’t edible.

Most of the staff was friendly.
No hot water for the entire stay (4 days)
Loud, running children in all hours of the night, slamming doors.

Good location.
Coffee maker needs to be replaced. The coffee was terrible.
The place needs updating.

Location
The bathroom needed a fresh paint job. Bedding had a whole in the comforter with yellow stains. Cup of water that did not belong to us was left in the refrigerator. Dirty pillow stains . Front desk workers could have presented themselves friendlier.

Everything was great!!! Breakfast was delicious, better than what we had at other places. The staff was Amazing, we left our toothpaste at home and they had complimentary toothpaste!!!

location, room was fine, pretty clean
I’ve stayed here a lot to visit family. i used to think it was really nice but It seems like it’s gone downhill in the last year. Staff isn’t friendly, even when I looked at him and greeted him. It just seems like the property is getting worn out and owners must not be doing anything to improve or keep it up.

nothing
We where given a dirty from previous a guest. The staff was useless and didn’t seem phased by it. Garbage on the floor in the hallway near the room. They then told us they were completely booked and it was very late so we had to go to another town at 11pm. Hotel is dirty in general.

Very quiet when I was there. Cody the manager was super helpful and friendly in getting me a room when I had an issue with another property I was supposed to stay in. It is clean and the breakfast is better than average for this type of buffet. Free bottled water a plus for me! Felt safe for female traveling alone. This is the second time I've stayed there and will again.
One light was out in the bathroom, if I'd been there longer would have asked for it to be replaced so not a big deal. Some of the hallway areas could use an update and the shower is weird....you can't slide open the door closest to the faucet and you literally have to walk in and get wet to turn it on.

very clean, nicely decorated, nice beds, nice staff, comfortable beds and at the time we were there fair rate for the room. Surprisingly great stay... not sure what I expected but exceeded my expectations.
breakfast just ok. I don't eat gluten and I don't like the pre-scrambled type eggs so not much for me to eat.

OK, waffle iron was good . Choices were limited
I know the world has changed because of COVID, but i didn't like that linens /towels were not changed during our stay. Three days is a bit much, every other day would have been fine.

If you're there because of Miami U, you can't beat the location.
It wasn't really clean, and the staff we ran into while there weren't very friendly. It was just really expensive for what we got. But we've stayed there before and if my daughter wasn't graduating, we'd probably stay there again because of the proximity to Miami U.

First and foremost, don't use Booking.com as they didn't secure my reservation with the hotel and it took almost 3 hours to get them to refund my money and book directly with the hotel. You pay way too much money for this hotel. You have to have a sledgehammer to even get in the doors of your room. The toilet handle took 2 people to flush and then we thought the toilet was going to fall through the floor. The door keys could only be used once, maybe twice and then would have to be reprogrammed by the front desk again.

Terrible as orange juice & cranberry juice was water. Bananas after a couple days were rotting with fruit flies. No one around to complain to. The service has gone downhill from when we were there before Covid and will not stay there again.Beds were too high, we had to go back downstairs 3 out of 5 nights to get our key active cards active again in order to get into rooms

Very little food available. Toaster didn't work.
There was no clock in the bedroom. Manager said there was, but he was wrong. There was also a false fire alarm in the middle of the night. No apology for the disturbing event.

The room was comfy and roomy. We were in town for my son’s graduation for Buckeye Boys State and the location was perfect.
There were issues with the elevator. We were on the 3rd floor and my husband has health issues so taking the stairs was difficult for him.

The location is close to MU campus, which is why we chose it. The room was comfortable and clean. The free cold water bottles are nice.
There was a loud group of families in our hallway, and they were up and loud, making noise and slamming doors open and shut past 2am. Little kids were in the halls and noisy. I have never called to complain about noise at a hotel, but I requested help from the front desk 3 times. My daughter and I were going to be up early the next day for her college Orientation, and my daughter didn’t my get to sleep until 2am. It was closer to 3am for me. Perhaps the hotel should post a “Quiet time” for 1030p or 11p.
The breakfast is nice, but I would have loved to have a bagel.
4.0
clean facility and friendly staff
the neighbors in next room were horrendous on our second night. It was nice and quiet the first night with a different group. The second night we didn’t return to our room until 11pm and the next room was loud and had so many people in it. After a couple of hours of trying to block it out and taking I sleeping pill, I cracked and called the desk.
Apparently others complained as well. If this group was so disruptive to everyone else, they should have been told to leave if they couldn’t respect others.
