This is an amazing hotel with attention to details. Super friendly staff. Location was great for being on the water and walking. At least 6 restaurants/coffee places within two minute walking distance. Sushi restaurant nearby has a sushi train, and prices were on on the lower side. Coffee place a few doors down, had great coffee, but super expensive! Hotel has great coffee for free in the lobby, and great cookies in the afternoon. Restaurant at the hotel was amazing for New years Dinner, although the ambiance wasn't the greatest as we were put into the banquet room, but service and food was amazing! Would highly recommend!
I didn't like the room we were in for New Years dinner, as it was the banquet room and just felt cold and non personal. Dinner was amazing, but quite expensive if you're from Canada (for New years dinner anyways) we didn't have any other meals there. But otherwise a great experience. We would totally recommend and for sure go back! So many cool places nearby to visit! Old town, fairhaven, downtown.

The grounds are gorgeous. My husband and I sat on the expansive patio and watched the sunset. The hotel and restaurant staff were excellent. There is a walking path that passes just in front of the motel that goes around the marina to a lovely park. The hotel is just minutes away from Bellingham.
I wish the bathroom didn't have shutters that opened into the main room. Yes, you can close them, but doing so is not as sound- and light-proof as, say, a wall. I'll never understand why any architect thought this was a good design choice. I guess it's supposed to enable you to enjoy the view while bathing, but once in the tub, you are too low to see anything anyway. All this design does is make the bathroom less private and more awkward.

Could have used a late check out.

Nice restaurant in the hotel.
Noisy rattle in the cold air return vent, which we should have reported immediately instead of at checkout.

We have stayed here multiple times, even though it is considerably more expensive than surrounding hotels. This time our room had crumbs, a newspaper in piles, a dirty fork, an ottoman jammed between the bathroom wall & bed & the previous client's keycard/envelope. A broken handle that keeps shutters closed by jacuzzi. Not happy.

Loved this hotel! Wonderful service and very cozy rooms. The beds are out of this world comfortable! The property and water views are stunning. If you have dogs, they go above and beyond with accommodating them (at a little bit of a cost, though).
The pet fee is quite high!
