Staff was friendly
The building is very old and in need of many repairs. Just in my room the hvac control was broken, the light over the sink didn’t work, the towel bar was pulling out of the wall, the shower surround was marred, the tv was broken, and they only gave me $10 off. Also, the road noise from the highway is very loud. Not impressed. The hostel down the street for $45 is MUCH nicer.

I stayed here only because of the location, which is what I needed. I knew it was a 1-star hotel, and it totally deserves the rating. It was reasonably clean though. And lots of free parking!
1. The hotel is in desperate need of a refresh, EVERYTHING is old and in need of repair.
2. Portable AC unit was appreciated, but the exhaust wasn't hooked up and window seal ineffective. Good thing I am handy.
3. The microwave was appreciated, however it wasn't plugged in because not enough outlets. We moved it to the bedside table.
4. One staff member just opened the door to our room and entered without knocking or anything.
5. The restaurant head waitress was not very friendly, and seemed in a hurry to have us leave, despite the restaurant being half empty.
6. There was a strong smell of marijuana in the hallway, but fortunately our room was not affected.
7. Considering everything, the hotel rate wasn't very competitive and for that high price didn't even include breakfast.

Location. Restaurant inside.
Beds were terrible. Pillows were worse. You can hear everything in the rooms next door and it made it very hard to sleep!

The hotel needs a little updating but it was still good place to stay at. Pillows were stiff. I would stay there again though.
It was really close to west summit.

Staff wasn’t very welcoming. Called the day before to ask questions and person on the phone wasn’t very nice either.

Location, close to the Pacific trail
The sauna
Cold water in the tub

Really close to the trailheads for all the great hikes in the area. Appreciated having a hot shower and AC.
Rooms need upgrades. The carpets were stained and probably from the 50s. There was garbage in the washroom so it wasn't properly cleaned before I arrived. Thought it was really expensive for what was offered.

The breakfast was good, good place to take a break.

The 2nd floor was unbearably hot.
The AC wall unit took all night to cool the room
down, the fan in the room hardly pushed out any
air. Glad I brought my own from home. The sheets
were dirty. The floor was gross. All disappointing
since the location is great. A good vacuuming
and carpet cleaning is needed. Clean sheets
isn’t too much to ask when you are paying almost
$200 for a night. And having the AC units running
before the guests arrive would be a nice gesture.

There was no A/C in the room and mgr said only 2 rms had any. We are here now and the temp was 85!

Huge nicely proportioned room
Cleaning staff should be sacked

My room had a view of the utility shed but who cares? beyond that is the beautiful mountains!!
I also had a portable AC unit that vented through the window.. convenient.
I didn't find any soap. that's it, nothing else was too bad.

Location and size of room was good. Laundry facilities a bonus and restaurant with great food next door.
Check-in was challenging, the chap didn't seem to know what he was doing and was not very welcoming. (Check out lady was lovely and very helpful though) Limited hours at restaurant next door and bar never seemed to be open. Hotel needs updating in some areas. Rooms at the rear of the property overlook the Freeway.

Conveniently close to the Train Tunnel entrance, and the attached restaurant make it really convenient to get a good warm breakfast before our hike.
View of the beat up trucks out the window. My son asked if we were staying at a wrecking yard.

location
Was put in a room that the closet was broke and nowhere to hang your cloths.
