The location was awful, the potholes almost damaged my vehicle, the side doors were inaccessible and broken, I was nearly attacked by a pit bull in the parking lot, was worried I was going to have my car stolen or get robbed. I felt like I was in the Compton ghetto

Staff was very friendly.
Very basic room. My wife got bit by a bed bug. Killed a bed bug on the floor.

Worst hotel I’ve gone into for a long time
Warning #1, the main door is kept locked.
Warning 2. All the parking is behind a gated 8 ft high fence.
Warning 3. All the hallways smelled like marijuana smoke.
And if you look around there are people “just hanging around”.
I actually checked in and paid. Took a shower then decided I didn’t care about the $100 room. I didn’t want my new vehicle sitting there all night so I checked out and drove to The Dalles to get out of Portland

The price was reasonable and worked with my limited budget it just didn't match what I expected.
OMG the first thing I see driving in is derelicts sitting on the front entrance steps smoking talking crap. People and then I find out one was the front office staff hanging out a van smoking talking crap and loud (mind you I arrived at 9pm from an 8hr flight.) And then I walk in and all looks disheveled starting with the person handing to a client a bin with dishes but can't give a coffee pot till morning. Laundry room visible from front desk and loud. A small entrance area where people had to move for people walking in. Staffer who was outside comes in and looks higher than a kite. The supposed night manager kept referencing how it was not a good area. Asked for a Cot and was told there was none. Of course no coffee pot either. Get to room and it is picked up but still felt yuck so I lysol wiped the whole room. Getting to the room smelled things other than cigarettes or pot. Loud dogs barking.
My son left and got us a room at the courtyard Marriott on the other side of the highway and we left. Horrible!! I just cried!! At least the morning manager credited our stay in full and she too looked frazzled like the girl the night before who didn't know how to give us a credit. It was truly embarrassing for me to have put my sons and me through this. I have never had such an experience and I travel alot. On a trip to Germany our room was half the size but oh so clean and inviting. It was a Holiday Inn Express. Thank you for listening. But don't recommend them again. 😒

Unable to justify positive feedback.
The entire area inside and out was filthy. Large piles of dog excrement outside lobby door. Homeless have taken over the area. Not a safe place. Worst hotel experience in 30 years. Staff without leadership. ESA should be ashamed.

I didn't like anything
The place was in an area that looked bad. There was dog crap by the front door. People smoking right by the door. Our reservations were messed up and they tried to give us 2 beds for 6 people. Also there was an argument going on outside of the hotel which made my children very afraid.

unsafe environment and and really dirty

The only good thing about this facility is it has a kitchen.
The location is a place why homeless are abundant. Once in the street leading towards the hotel, there is trash on the road side. There were people smoking at the front porch, and having a shopping cart with all kinds of stuff. The parking gate is locked and the front door is locked - everything was high security- it made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Had to call to get inside. The lady who had a shopping cart full of stuff then came in and walked into the hallway. Front desk said she lived there. Is our government paying people to live in these hotels?
Super inconvenient to have to go to the car through a gate requiring a key card or having to call. Parking lot also has trash.
At night, we can hear footsteps above. Those people are not even trying to be loud. The floor/ceiling is just too thin. Also can hear car racing on the street.
Elevator is dirty and smells like marijuana. When getting coffee at front hall, those around were taking our loud using “f” words when my kids were around. Wish I had researched the area. Worst lodging experience.

There was no breakfast and when they finally started putting out coffee it was from 0600-0900.
The table in my room was broke. There was a picture on my wall and the glass was broken. Took them 2 weeks to fix the stove and the refrigerator. The outside was trashy all the time. I was situated near the back entrance but wasn't allowed to use it. The arm on the entrance machine was broken for a week so I had to drive in, park, go in and then they would open the "arm" for the out side so that I could go in.
I went to pay because they only took one (1) week at a time and their machine to take payments was broken. She gave me the receipt for my weekly payment but the next week I was thrown out cause they said I was a "no show"?. Ok, they made the new arrangement for me so they could get their payment then call me a no show and call me 30 minutes prior to me going to work to tell me I need to get out. She said "you need to check out". Thank goodness Booking.com went to bat for me. I have stayed at Extended Stay but I will NEVER stay there again.

Nothing horrible place
I feel I should get my money back that was not a very clean room at all. I have work in motels most of my life and it was not cleaned very well. Even hallways and the elevator was dirty with garbage on the floor for the two nights I stayed nobody cleaned at all.

The location has easy freeway access.
Hearing dogs barking in the room close to mine. The security gate not working. Seems to be a place with permanent residents who blocked the side entry doors open with rocks for easy access after smoking or walking their dogs.

Front desk person was very nice
Was the worst place I have ever stayed in!! Very dirty, lacked maintenance and upkeep on the things in the room. Hallways were dirty. Parking lot had trash. All doors leading into the building that were supposed to be closed to limit access didn’t close so not sure how secure it was. Refund wasn’t available so we were stuck staying there. Wouldn’t recommend this place!

The room with kitchen was nice
The bathroom door would not close. There were homeless people hanging around.
