Stunning property with amazing views, comfortable house, and hospitable hosts. Fresh produce provided daily, outdoor barbecue available, and a memorable stay guaranteed.

This property is amazing- from the view, the patio and the comfort of the house. Alfonso is so easy to communicate with. He answered any questions that we had. Each day he or his father delivered fresh produce from their gardens and eggs from the chickens. When we arrived he had meats and bread for sandwiches, chips, cookies and drinks in the fridge. The house is a little tricky to get to in a car (we had an Audi C3- no bigger!) but they met us at Ristorante Il Borgo and showed us the way. This restaurant was recommended by Alfonso and we loved it- stunning view, nice staff, delicious food. Would love to stay here again! We had a wonderful stay.

I was left very disappointed with this Villa. My expectations are usually fairly low. This Villa promised so much, but after arriving and taking my socks off, to finding the bottom of my feet black within 5 minutes - this theme continued over the course of the week. It needs a generous clean. There are cob webs everywhere and people are randomly working as you try to enjoy the garden which is also quite surprising and you’re not sure who people are or if they should be there.
You simply cannot get anywhere by foot, you rely heavily on Alfonso arranging transport. Sadly, the transport that’s arranged is ridiculously overpriced and for literally what is a 4 minute journey there and back costs €40 each time.
It felt like a continuous shake down exercise since arriving.
Alfonso arranged a transfer when we left for the airport. The man who had been overcharging us the entire time, promised car seat and bigger car. He arrived 45 minutes late and without a car seat. We had to pick one up, making us late for our flight which we missed and had to rebook.
All because this man must have wanted the transfer fee.
There is no entertainment for the evening in the Villa. A few programmes in Italian, the TV needs upgrading to have Netflix or something neutral for audiences of different countries.

Really great place! Getting in and out is a little tricky. We love the hike from the Villa into town down a charming path. If you enjoy walking, it’s a great way to get to town. The family was extremely hospitable. Consider cooking your own meals there as they have a great outdoor barbecue and eating area. You will enjoy this villa!

Quiet and Peaceful, this villa is the perfect place to unwind. Perfect.
Absolutely lovely Alfonso will do everything to make you feel at home; so kind, helpful and incredibly friendly!!
Fresh tomatoes and eggs! Gorgeous olive oil!
Space and Green!
We have built super memories and the children finally understand what it is to see the deep blue from afar - and sit down only to enjoy what this magnificent part of the world can offer!
Do not think twice.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property, away from the busy tourist spots.

Really enjoyed our stay. The villa is truly special, in a beautiful and quiet location, a great escape from the bustle of Sorrento.

The property just seems impossible. You’re in an air conditioned villa nestled in an olive grove, surrounded by lemon trees, far above the Tyrrhenian Sea. With a swimming pool. It had me feeling a little imposter syndrome…I am not accustomed to the villa life.
My only caution about this idyllic place, is that you have to be comfortable with driving in some tight spots. You will want to rent an appropriate vehicle. We had an Audi Q2 and that would be the absolute biggest car that could work.

Dear Franco, Alfonso & Family, Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. The view is spectacular & it is so peaceful; and thank you Franco for all the fresh eggs from your chickens & the fresh vegetables, Lemons, oranges from your gardens. Thank you Alfonso for all your advise!!! We highly recommend this place to anyone to enjoy!

What a great place and what a wonderful time we had. Alfonso was a terrific host and was most accommodating. The views from the Villa are incredible!

We have just enjoyed a delightful week at Alfonso’s villa which is stunningly situated in an olive grove in the hills behind Sorrento. The villa was immaculately clean and well provided with everything we needed for our stay. The views from the beautiful garden balcony were magnificent and the pool was safe and adequate for our three children. Sorrento is a 30 minute walk away but as the hill is very steep you will need to hire a car. Nerves of steel are required for the narrow and busy streets but with so many great destinations a short drive away a car is really a must. Alfonso was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble. Every day we were left baskets of eggs, tomatoes, figs, peaches and lemons from the extensive gardens. We enjoyed visits from a family of cute cats and especially tiny fluffy kittens which were a huge hit with our girls. Thank you so much for your generosity during our visit Alfonso, it won’t be forgotten.

Wonderful family-managed property
We had a great stay at this house about 15 min outside of Sorrento. Alfonso and his brother were very helpful in the lead up and during the stay. We appreciated the personal attention that the family provides to the property and to their guests. Alfonso’s father regularly visited to check on his garden and chickens without ever being intrusive. The welcome basket with hone-grown produce was excellent. Also, the air-con also was very comfortable at night, Although we would return without hesitation, I would recommend this property to experienced and confident drivers only. Take the advice seriously to rent a small car. An option that worked well for our family of 5 was to have a van transfer to and from Naples with a small Fiat rented from Sorrento. We were even able to stop for a pizza lunch in Naples. Alfonso was very helpful in assisting with the booking of the transfer and a transfer for my husband to the car rental agency. Lastly, the views from the terrace were beautiful and will be remembered.

We had a very nice stay in the villa with the lovely garden with the most amazing view over the bay of Napoli with both Vesuvius and Capri in sight. Fresh vegetables, fruits and eggs was a daily luxery. Such friendly hosts.
The road leading to the house is very narrow, steep and with sharp turns, so be sure not to bring a large car :)

Beautiful house with stunning views
We were a family of 5 who visited Sorrento in late October. The house was just perfect for us. 3 Large bedrooms, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable living area. But it is the garden, pool area and stunning views that make it truly special. The large outdoor tiled dining area is where you will spend most of your time. Great barbecue, great outdoor lighting and everything is so well maintained. The pool was good , very clean and we used it daily even in October. The views over the sea are even better than the photos suggest.
Take Alfonsos advice thoughts and hire a small car as the access road is very narrow and the hill was tough for our Qashqui with 5 on board.
The welcome we received from Alfonso and his family was very warm and they had plenty of travel advice and kept us stocked with fresh eggs, as well as all the essentials when we arrived.
This really is the perfect place to just relax, unwind and enjoy the sunshine and that’s what we did.
Things to see : Pompeii needs a whole day but it’s a must see. Also Vesuvius, drive and hike up from car park . Takes only 20 mins to reach the top. If going to Capri make sure your boat tour includes blue grotto. Tide was high when we got there so we missed it.
Thanks again Alfonso and your family for a memorable stay.

Amazing olive grove
Alfonso and his family are some of the most hospitable people I have ever met. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was very enjoyable and answered any of our questions within minutes. The property was absolutely beautiful and is a great home base to explore Amalfi coast and area. Renting a car will make your stay very comfortable. Thank you Alfonso and Marina and family!

Utterly Delightful
If you're looking to book somewhere in this area, don't hesitate! This is the one!
Alfonso and his family gave us just about the warmest welcome we have ever received anywhere, and as we were on our honeymoon, they generously gave us a beautiful cake and some bubbly as well as some delicious homegrown tomatoes and basil. Little gifts of homegrown produce continued to discreetly appear during our stay and were very much appreciated. The fridge and house were well-stocked with some essentials on our arrival, which was great and saved us having to immediately leave and go to the supermarket.
Alfonso was very helpful and communication was always excellent.
The house itself was lovely, with the outside space being a real winner. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the sun and the views and it was difficult to know whether to go out and explore the surrounding area or just to relax and enjoy the garden and the pool! Highly recommended and we would definitely return here if we ever visit Sorrento again.

We had a really great time there.
The home is just amazing !! We really recommand it !!!!
Many Thanks to Alfonso and his family for their sympathy, their kindness, their amability and for giving us a lot of informations about their province.
We wish to come back in the future. And we are wainting to see you in Aveyron.

Lovely Sorrento retreat
A spacious, comfortable villa in a quiet and beautiful setting with good views of the Bay of Naples. Thank you Alfonso, Franco and the family for making us feel so welcome (and providing us with fresh produce throughout our stay). Puolo beach is nearby and has plenty of beachside restaurants. Furore beach, a small cove along the Amalfi coast, is also worth a visit. Please heed Alfonso's advice and hire a small car- the lanes to the villa are very narrow. We had a wonderful stay and would be very happy to visit this villa again.

Paradise found at Amalfi coast
Our family of five enjoyed an amazing week at this property and we did not really want to leave! We used the house as a base camp for day trips to Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano and Capri. These places were great (and at some point we were considering staying in one of them) but with all the traffic, the tourists and the noise we were glad we opted for this house where we made lemonade with the lemons from the garden and enjoyed completely unobstructed sunset views.
The house was perfect for our tastes and needs: the three rooms provided enough space and privacy for the adults and the kids, the garden was perfectly landscaped, outdoor furniture made it easy and pleasant to enjoy the yard where we had our breakfast and most of the dinners, the pool was greatly appreciated after a hot day of walking around. There is a BBQ, which was helpful too.
The hosts were very responsive and super kind: a warm welcome with homemade limoncello, fruits, fresh eggs, immediate follow ups to questions.
We had a car and were mentally prepared for the narrow roads as we had a similar experience in some of the villages in Tuscany a few years ago. If you dread driving on steep and narrow streets, perhaps you would not enjoy the setup this house offers as much as we did. But if you are ok with the access, this house offers one of the best and unique options to enjoy Sorrento and Amalfi coast! You would get the views, the space, the privacy, the proximity to all the sights nearby and the option to just enjoy some quiet time away from it all...
The postcard perfect sunsets will remain in our memories for a long time.
Grazie!!!

The BEST place to stay in Sorrento
What a gorgeous place - set in the hills just above Sorrento in an olive and lemon grove, and offering sea views So much nicer than a stuffy hotel room. Rooms are clean and spacious, kitchen is well stocked (with a welcome bowl of fresh fruit and drinks in the fridge). The garden and pool is the perfect place to relax with a book and a drink. The host Alfonso really goes above and beyond giving us a number of lifts to and from Sorrento. It is a half hour walk into to town - fairly steep but a lovely walk overlooking the coast. I would absolutely recommend staying here away from the hustle and bustle of town. Bus stop round the corner to Amalfi coast so no car needed.

Sample a slice of true Italty!
We have just returned from a most unforgettable holiday and had the priviledge of spending 9 days in the amazing villa and surroundings of Tenuta Camporosso.
If you look for beauty, peace and quiet with a little insight into how life would be for the normal Italian family then this is the place.
Alfonso and his family are beautiful genuine people who make you feel at home and well looked after. The villa is large, clean and comfortable set in a garden offering amazing views of the bay of Naples, surrounded by wonderful orchards. The extremely long private driveway is well lit at night. I would recommend Tenuto Camporosso to anyone who wants to witness true Italy! We will return!!
Thank you x

Beautiful home & Wonderful Host
This house and yard is lovely. The host were welcoming and friendly! They did everything possible to make our stay special. Fresh eggs, lots of food items available when we arrived. Eggs were supplied throughout our stay. Tony drove us to the grocery store the first night and other times as it is a very steep hill, our van couldn’t fit down the road. He was very helpful. The only complaints are the access to the property and the beds were very hard. A memory foam on them would make them more comfortable. Also, there were 6 of us so more towels would have helped. One large and one small per person wasn’t enough. The wash takes a long time and it was a day to dry clothes. So towels were an issue. There is an above ground pool that was nice, the ladder was shaky so you have to be very careful entering it. The view was beautiful and there were lots of outside furniture. This family is extremely accommodating, the house is amazing but the property access is an issue. It was somewhat isolated so if your looking for peace and quiet, this is a great rental for that. Many thanks to the Family for making our stay wonderful.

A gem on the Amalfi coast
We stayed at the villa for almost a week in late July with our two girls, 10 and 13. We truly enjoyed our experience and hope to go back soon. The house is very comfortable, benefits from a huge patio, a beautiful terrace with amazing views of the coast. You are surrounded by olive trees and enjoy total privacy and quietude. The pool was awesome at the end of the long day. And after the pool, nothing beats watching a romantic sunset on the terrace with a glass of local wine!
The house is about a 10 min drive from downtown Sorrento. The access road/driveway is narrow and steep, but so are all the access roads in the region (and many most cities throughout Europe). The few locals who use it will go out of their way (pun intended) to make your life easy.
Alfonso and Marika were warm and welcoming. We were able to enjoy fresh produce from their garden every day! They were great in providing tips for things like parking, groceries, beach access and more.
If you are hesitant about Sorrento, don’t! It’s an awesome place to spend a vacation. And this house is truly a gem to enjoy the area.

A fabulous week
We have just had a brilliant week here. The villa is in a perfect location. Just out side Sorrento in the hills and is a haven of peace and tranquility from the crowds and traffic not far away. The villa it’s self is very comfortable and rooms a good size. However we only spent time in it to sleep. The outside living area is great. Well lit for the evenings - good BBQ - just perfect for alfresco living. And stunning views across to Naples - with great sun sets too. Alfonso could not have been more helpful. And his family were on hand to greet us and show us round the property and the lovely small holding. We were encouraged to pick the oranges, lemons, apricots, courgettes, and herbs, as well as take eggs from the hen house. Nothing like orange juice fresh from the tree for breakfast.
All in all a super week in a great location. Alfonso looked after us very well and went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing holiday - even coming to our help when we had car trouble - taking us to the Hertz office in Sorrento and helping negotiate a replacement upgrade car for us.
Highly recommend.

Beautiful villa in an amazing setting
The villa is beautiful and the setting is amazing, high up in the mountain, with its own fruit farm and a fantastic view of the bay of Naples. The villa is quite a way away from everything and the road to it is a little treacherous. You definitely need to hire a car to be able to stay here. In and around Sorrento is very busy, also beautiful but a little pricey. It was nice to be able to visit sorrento and then retreat back to the villa for some peace away from all the hustle and bustle. The outside area is great for Al Fresco dining around the barbecue and the sunbathing around the pool is hot hot hot The kids loved the pool which was cleaned every day and the family who own the villa are lovely. We got a warm welcome with a bowl full of fresh fruit and tomatoes (very tasty) that they had handpicked from their own gardens, and they were always on hand and happy to help if we needed anything. I would recommend staying here if you want to relax and enjoy some quality time with your family but not if you want to be in the midst of Sorrento and it's nightlife.

Tenuta Camporosso....
We all aim, at different points in life, to go to Paradise: we try to be nice to our peers with the hope that if we can’t buy Paradise, God will see us and reward us later, or, if we can afford it, we try to plan that fancy vacation on the sea or in the mountains, and call it a temporary Paradise.
And then, around the time you read this review, you probably plan to visit Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, and hope to find a corner of Paradise around there.
Later you go to Sorrento, meet Alfonso and Tonnino, their parents, and their family, settle into their home, and kickstart your vacation. And, yes, on that vacation you probably will reach the house through its impossibly narrow, steep, and winding road, you’ll sip a cold limoncello while watching the sun set into the sea next to old Naples, you’ll taste some of the best tomatoes and basil on Earth picked by the senior master of the property, you’ll enjoy a conversation about the making of olive oil with the neighbor, you’ll nap in the shadows of the olive or lemon trees, or you float at random in the pool forgetting about that nasty watch that insists on keeping the time for you.
And then it will be time for you to go back home. Soon after that, you’ll be back in your office or driving around in traffic and thinking again about Paradise. And you’ll be asking yourself “Where is it?” “Was I ever close to it?”. And probably the answer will be “No!”.
So - Why? What happened?
That's simply because while at Tenuta Camporosso, you were way above it – way above what we, mere mortals, call Paradise. A place where time and space have a different meaning, where a warm handshake or calm conversation with the owners leads you to an unknown place that you’ll discover, where your understanding of the savor of a caprese will find new senses for your taste buds, and… where words simply cannot describe the beauty of the moment while you’re there.
Alfonso, Tonnino, and family - you and your Tenuta are there in our hearts! Thank-you.

Great Stay
We stayed here for a week over May half term. For those looking for a break from the hustle of being in the middle of town this place is ideal. The Villa is owned by the most friendly of families who were very kind. And could not do enough for us. We will be back one day. I would say however is that a car is essential here.

Amazing property and garden, beautiful rural location, amazing view, challenging drive.
The size of the property and garden make this villa excellent value. The rural location provides privacy and quiet that makes the narrow and twisting drive worth it. Great panorama of Bay of Naples and 15 mins from Sorrento. For exploring the Amalfi this is a great location to stay. Josephina was an amazing host and have a comprehensive tour of the garden and was happy to share the fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs being grown. Make sure you buy some of her Lemoncello!

A warm welcome in a beautiful setting
Giuseppina, Francesco, Alfonso, Marika, Antonino made us so welcome in their Villa. The Villa is very individual, well equipped and generally comfortable. We were warmly welcomed, shown around the Villa, the Lemon and Orange groves and introduced to the chickens. Oranges and Lemons fresh from the tress were in the fruit bowl and Giuseppina's Limoncello was an extra treat! Things to be aware of are the very steep and windy access road.....hire a SMALL car...after the first couple of times you get used to it - but arriving at night is an adventure. BUT we were met at the restaurant Il Borgo and guided down...so OK. Il Borgo is a must for dinner - fantastic views, lovely service and very reasonable prices for good food. The family organised a car for us to walk the Path of the Gods, super driver took us to another lovely restaurant....well worth it. Only negative was that the beds were firmer than we are used to. If you are wanting something slightly out of the way, quiet, great views with a wonderful warm family welcome then Tenuta Camporosso is for you.

All the reviews are spot on and Tenuta Camporosso deserves 5 stars. The grounds and views are fabulous and the owners are lovely and so, so helpful. Guiseppina's limocella is an added bonus!

We satisfied the "Italian villa" desire on our bucket list!
I thought we were renting a 3 bedroom house. What we got was a gorgeous villa overlooking Sorrento and the Bay of Naples. The house is comfortable and has modern kitchen and baths as well as family antiques. But it is the outdoors that is stunning. It's made for inside-outside living with sitting areas and eating areas and outdoor grill and swimming pool and gardens and lemon grove and olive trees. The entrance drive stretches forever. We were in our own private paradise, yet close enough to Sorrento, or S. Agata. The owners are warm and wonderful.

Great stay at Tenuta Camporossa
Nestled in a lemon grove a short twisty drive out of Sorrento is Tenuto Camporossa. This is a lovely villa with garden, and views out over the Bay of Naples. It's in a great position. We were glad of our car, but the villa is ideally placed midway between St Agatta ( for fishmonger, butcher, supermarket etc) and Sorrento. It is quiet and peaceful, with a large terrace for eating al fresco. The owners are delightful, kind and helpful, and often there tending the grounds in the afternoons, always willing answering questions.
A lovely place, somewhere we may well revisit.
