For the money - I'd stay further down the beach for greater variety, buzzy-ness and options

I had an ocean front room with great views and liked that the property is right on the beach. It's not far to walk for a morning swim / beach walk. This is definitely a quiet hotel, best suited for families and/or older couples.

It has very few amenities (quiet lobby bar, cafe and a rooftop bar) - and definitely no Miami 'scene' here, which will suit some travelers. It's a sleepy Surfside property that caters to a particular clientele. Unless you want to stay up in Surfside / Bal Harbor most of the time, everything is a cab ride. I took a suite, which was a waste of money unless you want to use the couch as a pull out bed. It's not somewhere you'd want to sit. I also had no hot water for two days. An engineer told me it was because I was on a high floor and had to let the water run continuously for 5 minutes! Staff aren't that friendly or particularly keen to help.

Bad service, bad room, unenjoyable stay

The property has a good location and the amenities are good, however, the stuff, the service, the cleaning and the rooms are TERRIBLE

The room has problems with AC (which after couple calls they were able to fix) The main bathroom was horrible and disgusting. The water was constantly coming out from the shower and the sink didn’t have a good draining system. The tap will splash water by everywhere and it made a huge pond. All the toiletries were wet. I called so many times and also asked them in person to fix it or change us the room, but they weren’t very responsive or proactive. I understand weekends are busy but they don’t care about customers, they don’t make their stay pleasant. I won’t recommend this hotel

Ein extrem schmales Frühstücksbüffet mit pro Person 35 Dollar, völlig überteuert, da noch a la Carte dazukam. Für vier Personen kamen dann über 350 Dollar zusammen.

É a segunda vez que fico nesse hotel, localização excelente, praia e piscina maravilhosas, funcionários super solícitos e instalações super modernas.

O meu quarto era para pessoas com dificuldades de locomoção, o banheiro não tinha box e sim uma cortina, depois do banho o banheiro ficava todo molhado e na varanda tinha uma rampa adaptada para cadeirante, tive que movimentar a rampa e tinha muita poeira e folhas, mas acho que foi mais um descuido, nada queestragasse a estadia.

Always the best vacation at grand Beach surfside.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This is our third stay and we will be back soon. Great location and the hotel amenities are excellent.

I like the hotel location and everything it has to offer

I’ve been visiting this hotel for almost 10 years with my family and we always love it, but this week, the rates are so high for what the hotel really offers, and with a rate that high our standards also rise, and then the hotel doesn’t offer that much. For example, air conditioning machine inside the room makes a huge noise at night.

Front desk staff was horrible! Checked me out of my room after first night of a 4 night stay , rooms where paid in advance and they blamed it on booking.com??? So according to Front desk booking .com can randomly check you out of your room ! Just a flat out lie !

very modern beautiful beach area clean

The elevators kept breaking, got stuck in the elevator, one morning for 20 minutes. The hotel is mainly a Hasidic Jewish hotel. I felt a little uncomfortable being undressed with a bikini on the beach while the orthodox women were fully clothed going in the water no discrimination against them. I just felt like they were looking at us, like we were the minority.

When a hotel room cost hundreds of dollars at night- a minimum expectation is to be able to take a shower with hot water. For the last two days of our stay- we were basically unable to take a shower because the water was cold. they told us the problem was not quite fixable given the particular location of our room. at check out we informed the hotel of our issue we were told by woman at the front that she would consult with her manager regarding some kind of refund. That was never provided. And when we later called the hotel, they declined to provide any consideration of a partial refund. Very disappointing. We will not be returning.

Exceptional

Celebrated my Birthday weekend with my daughter at the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside. It was my third visit and once again it lived up to the elegant, classy stay I had previously experienced. The staff was friendly and helpful from the bar, restaurant, gift shop, to the fantastic workout we enjoyed with the fitness trainer, Michael. We received excellent recommendations for bars and restaurants for our downtown Miami night out. The Food and Beverage Director greeted us during our last breakfast before our departure, thanking us for our stay. A wonderful experience all around. Definitely will be back.
