I liked the view and hot tub in room. It was also pet friendly without an extra fee for the dog.
The owner was friendly and pleasant to deal with.
The shower curtain smelled like mildew

Building is in serious disrepair in all respects. Not clean. Unsafe.

the view of the lake was the only good thing about the stay.
we found needles in the room, there was dirty lingerie in the bed, the room was filthy with mouse poop throughout it. there was trash under the bed. we asked multiple times for a refund and even showed them them the pictures and had them come in to the room and clean up the trash and remove the dirty needles. it was absolutely mortifying.

Everything it smell like Sewer and mold . It said Queen Bed it was a double. The floor felt like you would fall through it. The towels they provided had so many holes in them it was laughable. 140.00 is way to much to stay at the Bates Motel I would be Totally embarrassed if I I was the Owner ofthat place or Ran it 🥲we Checked out at the crack of dawn

The room could use some updating and a better cleaning. Bed was very comfortable. Should be better for the price

I love the nostalgia I love that it’s old and they’re going to keep it that way sometimes it’s nice to go to something different it doesn’t have to be perfect all the time

The hot tube was not hot. The air conditioner didn't work way to hot in our room. The pillows were moldy and the curtains as well. You can get sick from mold. Not happy this time and I am a regular there.

beautiful location
run down. filthy carpet, no towels, trash under furniture. i brought in a blanket from my vehicle and a pillow so I would not have to lay on the bedding. some creepy guy was sitting under my bathroom window. the decor was “Egyptian” with a painted obelisk and creepy objects. i felt unsafe and put a chair under my door knob! there was an unsmoked cigarette under a chair and an empty plastic water bottle between the mattress and the headboard.

We had the best experience at Bennett Bay. Having never been to Coeur d’Alene, we did not know what to expect. What we did know was that most basic hotel rooms were close to $300 a night. The family running Bennett Bay refreshed my faith in humanity. They are kind and accommodating. The rooms were creatively quirky. We were all very comfortable. And the cost was a fraction compared to other hotels in the area.

The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room's decor was unexpected -- we loved the simulated bamboo, leaves on the ceiling and animal prints. We're eager to return and stay in another themed room.

The front desk gal was really nice. The view was fantastic. The building was quaint at first. The bed was comfortable enough.
This next part below in the didn’t like section but won’t let me cut and paste it....
We were exhausted after being on the road since sunrise and my husband was in pain and laid down on the bed while I grabbed what we wanted from the car. I went to plug the chargers into the outlet by the bed but they wouldn’t hold the charger in because it is so old and worn out. I was able to stack some things under them and prop them up to charge. Next tried to use the bathroom outlet and it didn’t work and couldn’t be reset because the red and black buttons were inoperable. I used the microwave while the tv was on and it shorted out the power strip everything is plugged into. I would summize that the building is a fire hazard due to faulty wiring and should not be allowed to operate until it is upgraded to safe standards.
Despite the problems with the wiring, we decided to stay since it was already late and my husband was finally comfortable. I went to the bathroom and flipped the switch....fan works but light lights up just the base of the bulb a tiny bit, not enough to see, more of a slight glow. I used the candle we. brought, got ready for bed and laid down. not 5 minutes later, the people from the next room come home and the walls seemed to block no noise. the tv must be right next to the wall in between and the intoxicated people were LOUD. We put on our sleep masks with headphones and were able to. fall asleep for a few minutes until BANG something slams up against the wall, the chargers both flew out of the sockets and under the bed. while talking about the situation, the group quickly left and all was quiet finally.

Beautiful views from the patio. I enjoyed the hottub and spacious room. I needed the getaway, and this was a good and quiet and peaceful choice
I felt that the rooms felt a little dirty. The humidifier and ac worked against each other. I didnt like seeing rust on the lamps, the bath tub was very slippery and we got a mat for that.
