Location was fantastic. The building is historical and is set up to look previous two centuries.
It’s expensive for what you get, historical or not.

location
Was not what it used to be 15 years ago, wore carpets, had to take luggage up two flights of steep stairs, door handle to room did not work, had to set dead bolt each time you went out of room and use key to re-enter a real pain , when you are bring up luggage into room or coffee from downstairs. The breakfast we received years ago was great and figured in room cost. I had a 7.50 charge for a small bowl of Raisin Bran , and muffin and 3 squares of watermelon with 1 strawberry sliced up, and A small glass of OJ. Shower took a long time to get hot and had pour pressure, TV picture got worst each day and we only listen to new and weather, another pain was tv controller would on go in one direction up so you had to start at bottom a search.

The location was excellent. The bed was comfortable.
ELEVATOR WAS NOT WORKING. There was only a young girl (and an older woman) to help with luggage. It had to be carried up two flights of stairs.
Bathroom shower had mildew and mold. Needed bleach cleaner.
No breakfast (as advertised) was available. "Chef was off." (In the middle of the week?) We were given a voucher for a nearby general store

Hotel was old. Some room furniture was broken and needed tepairs

Our King bed was excellent. While old, the bathroom was adequate.
Since we used Booking.com for our reservation, we were required to pay $12/person for a very small continental breakfast that was Complementary for other guests. This was not right!
It is an old property and the room had a musty smell; I'm sure that this couldn't be helped due to the age of the property.

We were told breakfast was not included in our price since we made the reservation by using the Internet. Yet breakfast is advertised as being included on the internet. The only way to get breakfast included was by calling the hotel for reservations.
See above.

Quite, not crowded & great location.
Bed too small, though we would be getting breakfast but the restaurant was closed & with the stepts was hard on older people. Staff was not very knowledgeable. Couldn't even suggest a restruant.

The location is amazing! Right down town and right across the street from the old Edwards inn.
Could use a little updating. Some of the staff was super friendly, some were not.

It was a good location. The view from the room was across Main Street. The bed was comfortable. We've stayed there over 15 times over the years.
In the over 15 years that we've stayed there, we had the smallest room we've ever had. We had always gotten a complimentary breakfast, but they said that since we used Booking.com we wouldn't get it.
