Food average
We were locked out of the room due to being given wrong keys. We missed our dinner reservation.

Staff was beyond accomodating, never said no to any request. Provided all we needed and even upgraded our room for free when a bike accident delayed our departure due to my husband's emergency surgery.

Some.of the rugs in the stairs could be more clean. The rest perfect!

After a long drive to the Cape, I was put at ease by Stephanie, the Inn's Manager, who welcomed me with tea and scones while we waited for the room to be made ready. The Inn is a charming blend of English B&B and American colonial history. Books, a gas fireplace, a four poster bed, tea and coffee service, a mini fridge and plenty of comfy chairs for reading made the Wild Pigeon Room ideal for my stay. I not only will stay here again, I'm thinking of gifting a romantic stay to my sister and brother-in-law. A singularly charming spot.
Nothing Everything was perfect.

A very quiet, relaxing room. Very friendly, helpful staff. Great help yourself snack/drink options in the kitchen. Lovely breakfast.
The WiFi was a bit temperamental

Such delightful place to stay, just wonderful! Room with four poster bed and all the amenities you think of; dressing gowns, coffee machine and even a gas fire. Little details such as a cork screw in the room and offer of a glass of sherry/port in the evening made it extra special. Staff exceptionally friendly and attentive. Breakfast just yummy. Loved it!
Difficult - the inn go the extra mile that many much more expensive hotels just don’t do. Perhaps a pair of slippers would push it to an 11

so beautiful

The staff were wonderful!! The breakfast and amenity ties were also elegant and the grounds are stunning. Our only “complaint” was that our room was musty and the windows didn’t open…but everything was immaculate and pleasant. The location was ideal.

Musty smell in stairwell that leads to the Cape Lady room.

Breakfasts were excellent. Compliments to the chef. Only slight issue was delay from ordering to serving but this is a National problem - shortage of staff.
As already said there was a slight delay in breakfast delivery but the dining room is a delightful area and it was a pleasure to sit there enjoying a coffee.

Truly incredible experience with exceptional attentiveness from Stephanie and her team. Breakfast was incredible and the homemade cookies were gorgeous. Everything about the stay exceeded expectations and will certainly be staying here again.
