The reception was CLOSED. They charged me WIRHOUT check me in. I stayed the night in my car. I also received another email about $15 extra charge for check in late. So basically they charged me additional $15 without even check me in.

Friendly staff, hostel atmosphere. The property is cool and our room was nice enough.
In case someone doesn’t realise - it’s still an hour drive to Yosemite visitors centre, but there isn’t really anywhere else to stay closer by unless you book inside the park!

Facilities are ok
On the road side, too noisy.

The property is conveniently located, near Yosemite National Park. It’s easy enough to park and navigate.
There’s nothing negative to say. The Ritz-Carlton, it’s not. If that’s your thing, keep driving. If you want a clean enough, comfortable enough, inexpensive place full of friendly people from all over the world, then this is the place!

Very clean
The room was extremely hot-the AC very loud, we needed to stop it, but we couldn't sleep.

Considering that we did a roadtrip in California and we came in by car via Las Vegas, the localization was one of the best that we could find (we wanted to go all the way in Yosemite, leave the luggage in Groveland and then go back). For that, it was awesome.
Other than that, the place is just what you need to rest and leave your things. It's a room with shared bathroom in a huge old house.
At night the place is very very dark.
Not flexible. Considering that we wanted to be at Yosemite park at 4PM, we wanted to the checkout earlier, but it was not possible. At the same time, we understand that there might not be rooms available, but apparently, it was not the case.
Everything is just enough. Nothing is great. Is nothing more than a place to sleep, leave your things and take a shower.

Someone has stolen all my food from the fridge. A good start in the morning to go hiking.

Amazing location and nice staff. It is still a hostel, but you get a great value for the price.

very expensive for the room

Very good air conditioning during the day, but was a little too warm setting during the night. Room 2 was spacious and clean. The bed quality was average. Clean living space in general. Good location to small town with market and to Yosemite and river rafting activities (All Outdoors Rafting).
The bathroom is described as shared, which I expect with hostels. But it was a single room with 1 tub shower, a single toilet and sink, aka, like in a house. This was to be shared amongst up to at least 10 people. It may just be my luck, but other hostels I have stayed at have bathrooms with multiple stalls and at least 2 showers. The property infrastructures need upkeep and coat of paint. The deck chairs were all broken except for 1 plastic one. Kitchen has basic necessities for cooking, but lacks things as simple as a measuring cup. No particular signature hostel appearance or camaraderie experienced at this place.

I really liked the design of the hostel, it was very unique and homey.
our room was clean. the bathroom was clean, and the kitchen was well occupied.
There wasn't really any shade on the windows and we wanted to go to sleep early and there was so much light in out room, also in the morning once the sun is up you cant really sleep.
The AC was soooo nosey, but I mean at least there was one.
There was a mouse in the kitchen but the stuff took care of it/

The private room with 2 comfortable beds was perfect for us. We had a key to lock the door, which we liked. Everything was super clean and the entire house had a warm and happy feel and vibe. We also liked having the window air conditioner. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Everything was good.
