Breakfast was nice. Staff person was lovely and gracious. I think we were the only people staying at the hotel. It is possible other guests left ahead of us as we didn't see any other cars except maybe an employee.
Our room smelled of cigarette smoke. Not feeling well, just wanted to sleep and get back on the road home in the morning. Used room spray I traveled with and may have left it there since I didn't have it when we unpacked at home.

they were accommodating with my arrival time.

We walked in, checked in, went to our room and then immediately left after seeing bunches of cockroaches all over the walls, bed, floor, bathroom. Front desk person asked us if we wanted to switch rooms and we said absolutely not, we’re leaving.

Nice staff and good rooms. They serve hot breakfast, which was nice.

Friendly staff, comfortable and clean beds/room/bathroom. Everything I expected and more. Unfortunately, we slept in and missed breakfast.

Clean room, convenient location. A staff member called me a couple of days before to confirm my reservation at which time she pointed out that I had booked a smoking room. When I told her I made a mistake, she switched me to a non smoking room. They also had a nice breakfast bar. If you have the time be sure to visit the New Market Battlefield Military Museum, a great collection.
The room refrigerator was a bit small but since I was only staying one night it wasn't a problem.

Can't think of anything, but they are redoing the upper floor and renting the lower floor. Maybe when they are done it will be better. The staff were very nice.
The heater became noisy and had to turn it off . It was 55° in the morning in the room. The room was out dated and the door to the parking lot did not lock easily. Did not feel safe and woke up with every sound during the night.

I ordered a room without the parking place near the door and was upset, but the manager immediately resolved this problem and changed the room for me. It was so nice.

the lobby was pretty
it was dark and dingy and the beds were so hard we couldn’t sleep on them.

Breakfast attendant was wonderful. A joy to talk with!
Bed wasn't that comfortable, could use a pillow top mattress.

staff were a little grumpy

easy access
wallpaper peeling off wall, bed was very uncomfortable-too soft and a little lumpy. you could see dirt everywhere along the edges and bathroom. very outdated

The hotel itself was great. We have stayed many times.
The clerk on the desk was terrible. He was complaining about the number of people he had to check in. There were 4 people in line. It took more than 30 minutes to get checked in. At that point he told us not to complain because it would take 2 hours in Key West.

BEDBUGS! :(

Absolutely nothing.
Three different room keys didn't work. Hotel receptionist never answered phone to help. Put us in far
Away room upstairs and no elevator. We ate in our 70s. Never recommend

great pool and location
Needs major updates. I accidentally booked smoking rooms. My fault. However the linens reeked of old smoke. The pillows reeked of smoke. I would understand the smoke smell if it was just from the curtains and carpet. But the linens should have fresher.
