Good beds. Room well arranged.
The staff clean everyday which is pleasant - maybe too much storage, but the clean is done.
The staff respond to the messages and the self check-in/out works.
Several parkings around (not free)
The location and neighborhood might be unpleasant if you're not aware of crack/fentanyl implications. But nothing will happen to you.
The room is quite tight.

The location was excellent and the bed was very comfortable.
Bath towels were a little thin.

It was clean and comfortable enough. It had the things that we needed for the night and I would stay there again for a weekend. Everything we used (shower, toilet, sink, air conditioner, etc) seemed to be in working order.
Pillows were really hard and the subway was not quite as close as I was hoping. Subway was about 7 blocks away, which is okay during the day but kind of sucked at night.

Check in was made easy for us considering we arrived late, for this I was grateful. The room had good air conditioning which was nice in the heat.
Not the hotel's fault but the location just didn't feel all that safe, especially at night. The room was also rather small but did have what we needed.

Great location. Great price. Very clean. Extremely attentive staff. Very polite and courteous!
There was a problem with the sink and leaking water. The staff was all over it and fixed it. It took a little while, but they eventually got to the bottom of it. However, there may still be a lingering issue because the next morning the sink drained very slowly. I checked out at 8 and reception does not open until 10 so this is my first opportunity to let them know.

Clean, cozy, friendly staff always available to help, quick self checkout.
Metro stations aren’t far but it’s not as short of a walk as I had hoped.

We spent very little time here, as we were exploring mostly. Easy check in and out out of hours and reception staff very friendly. We hired a car to explore Hudson River area, and free parking was no problem. 5-10minute walk to a metro that took us everywhere else. Beds very comfy, rooms were just what we needed travelling with 2 teens, and far more affordable than the more touristy areas. Room had a fridge too.

The room was very clean and well equipped.
Could hear talking from outside the room.

The booking process and checking in went very well, the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and it looks like the fixtures and everything was quite new. The location is close to different subway options, including the express lines 4 and 5 that take you to Midtown in just a few stops. Harlem is a vibrant and beautiful historic neighborhood.
Sound does travel a bit between rooms and between the hallway and the room, which does not bother me but if you are sensitive to that you might want to bring ear plugs. The bathroom could use another little hook to hang your hand towel near the sink. The water pressure and temperature was a little on the low side (but totally acceptable).

We booked family suite and it was exactly what we wanted. Adjoining rooms; first room had two full size beds and the second bedroom had a very nice iron frame queen bed. Rooms were on the second floor and were clean. Laminate wood flooring. Bathroom was on the small size but clean; shower size was appropriate but lacked water pressure. Towels were a bit rough but clean. Beds were firm, pillows were too soft. My only real complaints are that there isn't a ceiling fan in the bathroom and that you never saw the staff on site until check out time. Read reviews before I made the reservations and since I knew the area I knew what to expect. Not sure why some people felt unsafe because we didn't see or hear anything out of the ordinary for the area in Harlem. My family and I walked to and from the subway on 125th street in the day and at night. Never felt unsafe, sure there were a few panhandlers but there were just as many policemen walking and standing around. If you are skittish then this isn't your cup of tea but if you use common sense and are observant of your surroundings then the location and price will meet your expectations for a short stay in New York. I went to see NY Comicon and the the Highline. Ate dinner at the Corner Social and tried to go to Sylvia's. All in all it was a great place to stay.
Shower pressure. Might want to invest in better showerheads, ventilation or exhaust fans. No elevator's but walking upstairs wasn't that difficult. Would like to see a map telling you how to access the outdoor patio and the shared space kitchen. Wish you had parking.
