I loved the beautiful gardens and the many interior views of the water. Our gracious host Carolyn prepared extraordinary Swiss inspired breakfasts that were truly amazing! The proximity to downtown Camden is also lovely for dining out.

This is what I picture when I think of oldschool Bed & Breakfasts. Beautifully decorated inn with a lovely inn-keeper, Caroline, who prepares a wonderful 3-course homemade breakfast. She knows the area very well and has lots of great recommendations. Lots of common space with a fireplace to read at- that was probably my favorite area; very cozy. There is a tea and coffee station. Comfortable bed and so quiet. I stayed in the Bay Room which has historical literary significance. I also appreciated that the Victorian style is very congruent, with beautiful wallpaper. Easy parking, around 10 min drive from Camden. I would return.
This is an old house so be aware that there will be some creepy crawlies (not unexpected) and it takes a while for the water to heat up in the Bay Room. The shower is a little small, not an issue for me, but might be for others.

The property was beyond lovely. Picturesque, quaint and great views of ocean . The room was lovely and I adored the decor and that it had a working fireplace. Caroline, the host, was welcoming, warm and accommodating. She made excellent recommendations for things to do in the area and local restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious, and she offered a lovely assortment of choices from bagels and lox to omelettes with fresh veggies and herbs grown on the property.
There was nothing about the property I disliked.

It was a very warm welcome by Caroline; she is a perfect host. We felt like at home from the very first moment; but in a very unique and special setting, like in a different time.
It is a wonderful house in a wonderful spot right at the coast - and it has a history of almost 150years. Accomendation and breakfast is excellent, setting extraordinary.
Sitting on the veranda you can relax watching humming birds
It is as well a good location to visit Acadia national park and other places (Belfast, Camden)
Whenever we have a chance, we will come back
Many thanks to Caroline - Victorian at the sea is a place to discover….

Spectacular location with a gorgeous view and garden. Somewhat off the main highway, so it felt like a hidden gem. Caroline, the proprietor, was a gracious and knowledgeable host. We had to leave early on our second day and she accommodated us by cooking us breakfast before the normal serving time. Just a lovely experience all the way around.

This beautiful Victorian home welcomes you with open arms. Caroline, the host, is lovely and most accommodating. The guests comfort is her priority in all aspects. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Various teas, coffee, fruit and chocolates were available around the clock. Who doesn’t like chocolate? Sitting quietly on the wrap around veranda in a comfortable chair drinking early morning coffee while looking out at the ocean and listening to the birds was a wonderful start to each day. The guest room was comfortable and very clean. Thanks Caroline for making this a home we will be returning to in the future and certainly will recommend it to all.
Liked everything.
