Attentive staff- accommodated my late last minute arrival, gave me a tour of the property. My room had AC and a nice bathroom and the sheets provided were freshly laundered and soft. Lots of outlets as well - at least four plugs per bed in my shared room.
The backyard is really impressive- I wish I came with a friend and stayed a day longer. There are a bunch of bunnies and koi fish and an awesome natural rock pool with a waterfall, a dance floor, a projector, a treehouse.. really impressive.
If I’m ever in this area again I will absolutely stay here again. Really cool place.

Nothing. This place was like a prison. There is no space to move. A small room for 8 people. There is no privacy. There is no towels. This place is not a good place to spend even one night.
I did not like anything about it. Everything was bad. You will regret it if you book to this place. No privacy, sharing room with 8 people. Not a good place at all.

You can't beat the proximity to the everglades on a budget. The front desk guy was great, super friendly. Interesting grounds. Room had solid AC.
The bathroom in the dorm I was in looked to have not been cleaned in some time.

Justin was an awesome host, couldn't have been more helpful. Outside garden was also very pretty.

The place wasn't busy, so i got a dorm room yo myself. It was cleam, large, spacious with warm showers. The outside area looks like a tourist resort, its so pretty especially at night, all lit up. The management and staff make a great effort to create and maintain a pleasant and safe community vibe. I really liked it and shout out to Justin for taking care of me.

Staff and residents friendly. Quirky, interesting place. Garden facilities awesome. Free parking. A lot of effort made by staff to maintain a comfortable community.
Kitchen utensils not available in kitchen (although I understand they may have been available on demand).

Only 1/2 drive to Key Largo, close to Alligator Farm and Coral Castle. Beautiful private courtyard for hostelers, comfy private room, can't beat the price! Manager Justin was super helpful and staff were friendly. Great restaurant choices nearby. Loved the cool spring-fed grotto!
The kitchen is not stocked, so bring your own cookware, utensils, and dishes.

It’s premises and the yard are nicely decorated. The room was fairly clean.
It’s a hostel. Probably they should specify it more clearly. But even if you take a room all for yourself you still will have a common facilities like bathroom or shower, and they will always be occupied.
Annoying smell in the common areas, like tea tree oil or something similar. Fans in the hallways work day and night, very loud. It’s all like inside some 19th century workhouse.
Strange persons living there, looking more like permanent residents than guests, very limited parking.
Before you book, think of the better options!

location
Local people live there, no traveler vibes, the neighborhood area is one of the most dangerous in Florida

I booked here because I only wanted and needed the bare necessities to get me by for a day while I stayed in Florida City for my 2-day vacation. It did meet those needs successfully and I did not have any issues with coming into the hostel and leaving.
The most frustrating thing about the hostel was the poor condition of the doors. After having my card scanned at my door, I had to pull in and then push out quickly just to open the door, and this could take many tries. If I was someone elderly, this could've been extremely exhausting. The bathroom doors had vacant/open locks on them, but on each of the two main bathrooms either the top or bottom lock did not work, since at least one lock did work you could lock the door, but not without unnecessary anxiety from both the inside or outside. From the outside of the bathroom, you had to learn that even if the closed part of one of the locks barely showed, it was locked and someone was inside. Another issue was that there were no paper towels provided in the bathrooms, which left you to either use your own towel, your pants/shirt or leave with wet hands after using the sink. The final issue came with my tour of the hostel. When on the tour, I was given the impression by my guide that the only showers were public, this is not the case--do not worry. But it left me extremely caught off guard and disappointed until I discovered that there were showers in the bathrooms inside the building that you could use without worrying about someone walking in behind you while you are unaware. The final issue was something that can't really be fixed but was just the building that was chosen to build a hostel in. The stairs to the second floor are extremely narrow and treacherous and are major falling hazards.

This is an awsome place. The best place to stay in florida city with regards to price ...
There was some drama between long term clients at first, for the most part all is quiet and peaceful

Converted hotel into hostel, so each room has its own bathroom, although there were like 10 people in bunk beds in my room. Has helpful staff and they do a good job keeping the place including bathrooms clean. The location is near cheap eats and you can walk to nicer restuarants at Florida City downtown if you want. Very convenient if you want to explore Key West (a semi-direct bus leaves right across the street from the hostel). Also easily walk to downtown Florida City to take the free buses to Everglades and water parks on weekends during summer. Direct bus from South Miami stops across street from hostel.
It is a hostel, so everything is what you expect a hostel to have.....so no compliant. Although the swimming "pool" is really a fountain pool, but the back is big and open and good place to hang out.

The shower in that 1st room was clogged with nasty water from someone showering and I had to shower with my feet in it. Very squeamish.

Love the grounds and the nice bathroom in our room.
Didn't really understand breakfast. It didn't happen on our stay. I guess we make our own pancakes? But I didn't know where any of the ingredients were.
