Good, not great.

Great location within walking distance to the village, full kitchen, roomy bathroom, pet friendly.

Mattress is insanely uncomfortable. People in the unit next door kept taking our rocking chairs on the front porch, despite having a back patio. Host was completely unresponsive.

Bit shabby for the price but great location.

Location. plenty of pots and pans good refrigerator and stove Great fast response from Angela when we couldn’t get in.

Really run down. No table to eat dinner on, we had to bring the outdoor wire table round to the porch where we ate. An electric kettle would be good or a topper for the stove kettle so you can hear it when it boils. The kitchen floor flooded after rain on Friday morning. A tea towel would be good instead of having to use paper towels (less waste) Not suitable for elderly due to super low toilet and uneven surfaces everywhere. Previous guests dirty socks under bed.

Very good

The location was great and the house is well kept and very clean. The water pressure and hot water in the shower were AMAZING.

I booked this spot for the woodstove but I didnt realize that was the main source of heat. There were space heaters upstairs and they worked fine once they had been running for awhile and the wood stove heated up the downstairs well but this made for very cold mornings and a lot of extra labor (keeping a fire going for hours is hard work!) Not sure I would've paid this much if I knew there was no central heating.

Lock attached to door knob. Difficult to open and close door

It was a nice visit and I would stay there again.

My only issue was that the TV plug wouldn't reach the outlet. However, it forced me to have a wonderful and relaxing visit. Read one book and started another. I was permitted to bring my cat which worked out well. I was up to visit family in VA and WV, and the location for me was perfect. Harper's Ferry is a beautiful area. The microwave popped perfect popcorn!

Quaint historical stay

The location and history were the best parts. Everything that you needed was provided.

The mattress and pillows really need to be replaced. The pillows are flat and the mattress is very squeaky and worn. You roll to the middle. Love all the rustic charm, but really needed a good night’s sleep.

Passable

History of old building. Decor. Wood burner with plenty of wood. Location. Wifi.

Needs vacuuming. Had to supply my own garbage bags. Ash buckets on back porch full. Drains in bathroom drain very slowly. Coffee pot sneek a cup feature broke.

Great!

This place was built in early 19th century, so it has plenty of character. There are imperfections and quirks, but i thought they just add to the charm of the place. Quiet, clean, fully equipped and cute hidden outdoor seating behind kitchen made for great get away. Great place to retreat, get away. Close to a lot of public parks.
