Loved the location. It is upper canyon which is off the main road and not as noisy.
The cabin was nice. Little outdated and could use some upgrades. The air conditioner is a small window unit in the living room so when you try to set on the porch if it’s on to it can’t hear yourself think and it does not cool the bedroom at all. Think it would be better if they put in something like a mini split. Also it smelled very musty because they had just fixed a water leak under the sink before we arrived and left the soaking wet towel in a chair on the porch.

The location was great
The main bedroom reeked of pet urine or something like that it smelled so bad at night I had to put vapor rub on my nose. The kitchen was not very clean. Cobwebs everywhere on almost every window and not small ones they had been there for a while pretty big and thick. I believe the carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. In the morning as we went to the kitchen to cook breakfast there was about 6 rat dropping around the coffee pot and our napkins . They were not there when we went to bed and we cleaned up so no food was out. That kinda made for a uncomfortable breakfast. This is the 1st time we leave a negative review. We travel to ruidoso twice a year and had never had a problem. House was cute but in need of a good cleaning. We even went to Dollar General to buy blankets we did not even get under the blankets they did not smell very good.

Beautiful area and felt comfortable and like home.
The bedroom to the left outlets were not working, the oven smelled like gas when in use.

Location location location can't beat the upper canyon
The thermostat was hard to control and rooms where extremely hot. Fire place sucks and to top it all off, bed bugs or flees we're present. several of us got bitten. For a cabin that accommodates ten people not enough pots and pans to cook for nine with few plates and utensils 😡

Personally I really enjoyed the way it felt like a home, away from home.

na
kitchen was poorly appointed with too few eating utensils, hot pads, pans, towels
beds comfortable sheets good. bathroom sink slow to drain notified office, no intermention. Electicity questionable kitchen and dining room light would go on on off by themselves. TV ok after office person came to rescue us. window bind in front window unable to move up or down. asked to have it checked. no assistance. refrigerator had water in the bottom, no leaking but water puddled in bottom/vegetable bins. Reported chair ripped which was old so that we would not be accountable. Yet we had fun because we can make fun out of anything and we were together, enjoying each other.

Location
I simply asked for the wifi password for the cabin and the lady who I was on the phone with that was a representative was rather short with me instead of just helping me out and providing me with a password. I eventually got it but it just seemed like a hassle over something so simple. Everyone in person that I dealt with was pleasant however. The bathroom did not close fully which I believe could use some attention.

Loved it all but the showers need some work. One shower could not reach shower head and the other was unadjustable

Sweet deer greeted us on arrival. Easy to get to shopping and eating. Weather cooperated wonderfully.
Pictures are always deceiving so I'm used to the fact that the view wasn't what the picture made it look to be. Crowded parking, cabins too close together.
Again, I knew in my heart it would be like this, hosts want to present the best view. I just didn't realize I could have spit to the next cabin. (and I am not a good spitter, lol)

I booked at the last moment to get out of the Texas heat. I took what you had available. My expectations were higher cause we have rented cabins in Broken Bow. This cabin was 1/2 the size for the same amount of money. I believe what made the difference is the pet rent which was an additional $140.00. Which is usually $25 per occurrence. With that said cabin met our needs. Was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Everything worked.
