Bed was comfortable and the place was safe. Staff was phenomenal. Quiet and Clean area. Staff was ready to answer all questions.
No hot water. I'm from NY so I don't know if it was just me not knowing how to operate the shower water temperature or what. But I loved the place.

Bugs.

The location made it quite easy to get to various places because the metro was a 9-minute walk away.
The environment is somewhat uncomfortable because nobody speaks to you or greets you, in addition to the fact that it smells bad at night and people grab your stuff (happens with my towel, it was drying in my pod and someone changed it to place).
I think it would be necessary to have more control to prevent that other people touches your things and more ventilation-cleaning in the hostel.

Not bad location. Near to Metro.
Too cold. No heat at night even after we asked.

Location is convenient to Metro bus & train. Supermarket is one block away.
The bathroom with shower is disgusting. Needs to be thoroughly deep cleaned. So much mold & mildew from not cleaning well.
Weather under 60 degrees but staff had air conditioning on forcing guest to be cold all day & night. Inconsiderate.

This was good for what I was looking for.

Cool design, very nice beds, a kitchen, pretty good location, but far from the beach.
Obviously there is little comfort and privacy. Little space to put your stuff.
2.5 / 5.0
More sense of privacy than it seems in the photos.
Great staff.
It’s basically a homeless shelter.
Disrespectful guests.

I was needed a place to stay for a couple of nights before my rent approval. As a backpacker with an 8 year around the world experience - I decided to cut the price and stay at the hostel.
This is not a hostel - some people live there for more than six months, that information I got from their support. It was a small place full of people whom wears dirty clothes and got the skin issues. Everything smells like a dumpster, trash, huge collection of empty bottles under the beds. Common area smells, dirty and full of hair. Environment is extremely not safe. I left this place immediately.
Booking nor PodShare decide not to gave me the refund. Quality of communication from both sides was poor.
Also it was $62/night with a genius discount vs $80 regular on Booking. On their website it's $50 per night.
The property MUST letting know on the description what type of accommodation they provide. This is co-share living for people in hard situations. Shelter. Not a hostel.
Good luck, guys. You're doing a great job. I hope my "donation" help for a bit. Got no idea why you put it on the travel website without correct information.

Easy and efficient check in. Welcoming & friendly staff. My DTLA recommendations are BRAAZO for pizza, Rooftop at the Wayfarer Hotel for late afternoon drinks, and LINK scooters for getting around town. Of the 5+ urban e-scooter rental companies operating in Los Angeles, LINK has the best rider engagement with more stability for a MUCH safer ride.

Nice people, stayed with 3 new friends for book release party. Community food. Nice size and comfortable bed.
The drainage area in shower room could be improved! My feet got dirty right after showering which should not happen.

There was a bed to sleep on.
There is no separation between the bedroom and the kitchen/dining area. if the other guests stay up late talking or prepare food its very difficult to sleep, and there are no enforced quiet hours. At one point the toilet had plumbling problems and toilet water leaked throughout the entire hostel. in the middle of my stay my things were moved to another bed without explanation while i was out.

The host
The guy who runs it is super chill and a kind person. People do wake up at literally 5am on a Sunday to dig around in their stuff, eat, and complain, so you do wake up early and need earplugs. Like most hostels there are people who've been staying too long and feel like it's their house and overstep the boundaries by the way they talk to the really nice manager and how the rules dont apply to them anymore like quiet hours and not making others uncomfortable. I didn't like how the manager was talked to within 10 minutes after I got there. During a very loud argument one of the people who lives there tried to engage him in. He was super chill and didn't indulge in the super petty argument and was just trying to be as accommodating and understanding as possible. I'm sure the guy got what he wanted by being a brat anyway but I feel everyone should pay the same price especially when they shout out for everyone to hear how much they pay compared to a new person on the weekend rate. Everyone should pay the same but they dont. So I like the place and the guy who runs it is so nice his accomidations should get a 10 I only lowered it due to the guests being so noisy at literally 5am. 5am is not a cool time to start digging through your junk and making food so loud yoy are waking people up, and to start complaining out loud at 7am from the one person who throws tantrums. This one person just talks to himself about negative stuff and the place is so small his negative presence was felt. I believe I had a conversation with this person who was whining so much and he told me he beat someone up over a pair of shoes??? Really lame. He was complaining that they tried to make him pay the same as everyone else with stacks of expensive shoes scattered around his bed. Plus he found the time to go out after someone on a holiday to fight them then come back and brag about it.

I didnt do breakfast there....
hard to say...the place is dependent on the sence of common decency people walk in with, and there was one questionable
person with no group sensitivity skills which is all it takes to drive the experience downhill for others.

This was the worst experience staying at a place I have ever had and I've traveled in multiple continents for over 30 years. The experience was horrific and the management does care about basic standards. I was told that air conditioning can not be turned on during the day despite it being the hottest time of the year and over 15 people sharing a room with no fans and 2 small windows.
The second night I was mauled by BED BUGS! I told the staff member on duty and he wasn't even surprised as he said that it's happened before and management don't take it serious. I contacted management and they had no sense of urgency and the only solution for them was to get pest control and spray my bed and make me sleep there that night. I had to check out that day before work 2 days early with nowhere to sleep in LA. The management are an absolute joke. They hire previously homeless people and bully and scare them to say something and work in crap conditions. Another staff member came by from another one of their locations just to eat some free cereal, it's really sad.
The way I was treated after being savaged by bed bugs was an absolute disgrace. Management treat guests like an inconvenience and no respect despite the cost to stay here averaging $50/night.
