Beautiful home, delicious breakfast and comfy beds.

The cleanliness of this very old, very large house was amazing. Breakfast each day was absolutely delicious. The gardens are beautiful as well.

Can't wait to take my husband next time - LOVE IT.

I will definitely be back. The place is charming, quiet and full of history. The room was spacious and comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast was incredible, always garnished with herbs fresh from the garden.

It's on a busier street, but nothing compared to a big city.

Friendly, well-maintained historic inn right in Great Barrington

Friendly greeting on arrival from the owner. Beautiful historic inn with lots of original details. Well-maintained building. Comfortable bed and nice-sized room. Breakfast was excellent and it was fun talking with the owner and his wife over breakfast. Location is right in Great Barrington.

Disappointing

The steps were very icy. Instruction on entering was not good. "DELUX QUEEN" room was ver small. TV was tiny and inaudible. Fire exit on second floor was locked making us feel unsafe but the staff/owners were short with me l about a problem and mis-communication about what doorvwe should use to get in that we were reluctant to bring it up. The mauve bathroom fixtures from the 60s could have been considered camp but I don't think it was intended.

Comfortable and quiet. Barbara is a great host who knows the best places to eat at as well as serving up a wonderful breakfast. We had a great 2 night stay.

Beautiful house with lots of space, good place to stay when visiting the Berkshires.

Breakfast was excellent each day however only one option (out of luck if not what you want or like) Staff was attentive, unintrusive. Property spacious with lots of areas for private visits with friends (porches, indoor side sitting rooms). Our room was on 3rd floor. Quiet.

Would have liked stronger wifi, connections for technology could have been better. More availability to self serve tea, coffee, milk etc No choice for full breakfast, one option per morning. No room servicing during 2 nt stay.

Friendly classic B&B well placed for Berkshires

Very relaxing stay at friendly classic B&B with good access to shops and restaurants in towns, and to the countryside of the Berkshires.

Not for you if you want all modern facilities and lots of choice at breakfast. For example on first morning, breakfast was buttermilk pancakes with bacon (and fruit and maple syrup) - delicious, and we really enjoyed not having to choose from a long list!

Wonderful Berkshire stay at Wainwright Inn

such a beautiful inn with beautiful furniture, comfy rooms and such charm. The hosts were so nice and the breakfast phenomenal- delicious omelet with breakfast potatoes, sausage, toast and fresh fruit salad with juice, coffee, tea and a plate of small chocolate croissants to finish. So many thoughtful touches.

A wonderfully relaxing stay.

Wainwright Inn has an older, historic vibe with modern amenities. It is within walking distance of the downtown. The breakfast was delicious, modified as I asked. The hosts are super accommodating and hospitable.

I have stayed at Wainwright Inn before. I returned because I really like it. Nothing negative to say.

Historic lodging with beautiful room and tasty breakfast.

We loved the furnishings in the very comfortable, historic room. The breakfast was also first rate and the owner was very helpful with his hiking recommendations in the area.

Top-notch, classic Berkshire experience in renovated 1766 historical inn

Absolutely fabulous way to cap the night on a Berkshires experience. Classic 1766 inn infused with American history, yet lovely renovated throughout to be bright and clean. Beautiful details such as retention of old radiators and historical tiles in bathroom. Lovely couple and staff host. Breakfast included delectable homemade buttermilk pancakes. Gorgeous gardens outside generate greens used in the kitchen.

Nothing not to like. We're grateful for being treated so well.
