The cabin is large, beautiful, great location and so cozy. Love the front porch, the back deck, the inside fireplace, great view and the hot tub which you can enjoy in any type of weather. Nice place to hike and the small town only 15 minutes away. I recommend the Roscoe retreat for a perfect family/friend's getaway. Looking forward to visit in the future.
There was no breakfast provided, no pancake mix and the one cereal was not desired. We did bring our own breakfast, so it was not a problem. I would request larger forks, spoons, more coffee cups and plastic glassware.

little to complain about
grill tank was empty and we didn’t have pliers to change tank. but there was backup charcoal grill. no complaints

We brought our own food, however they did have eggs in refrigerator and pancake mix. The house was a bit larger than pictures shown. House was very secluded, nice and quiet. loved the fire pit and hot tub under the stars.
The only problem we really had was the fire pit, but they were on it very quickly and got one of the local guys steven to stop by and fix the very minor issue.

The location was excellent. 5 minutes or so up the hill from the main road. Very quiet, and great views out the back. Close to Roscoe. We came to fish and the farthest reach of the Willowemoc was only ~30 minutes away. The closest spot was Just below Cooks falls, about 5 minutes.
Abundant wildlife, mostly birds and deer. In the morning we would enjoy coffee on the deck watching the birds feast on insects.
If I had to complain, it would be the bird that decided that 03:00 in the morning would be a good time to start singing.

Boys fishing trip that was highlighted by coming back after a long day on the river to a scenic, secluded clean house on the top of the mountain. Very close to Beaverkill river trout fishing spots at the bottom of the mountain.
I have nothing to complain about. This is a perfect quiet get away which is only 2 hours from long island NY and you feel like your in a different World.

We stayed here back in May and enjoyed it. We weren’t trying to work on that trip, so the poor internet wasn’t an issue. Kitchen is well-stocked.
Like I said, we stayed here in May and when we came back in January, the door code was EXACTLY THE SAME. 8 months and they’ve never changed the door code. While we were walking the dogs, a man stopped us and mentioned he knew the code because they never change it. I went back and checked my old emails and sure enough, it was the same. The owners might trust the 50 other groups that stayed here, but I don’t. It was a huge security issue. The owner didn’t take it seriously but begrudgingly agreed to come up and change it the next day. I didn’t hear from him until around 4:15 that he’d stop by at 5:15, at which point I said we wouldn’t be home bc we had dinner reservations and the dogs wouldn’t handle him letting himself in well. He gave a thumbs up and I didn’t think there was an issue. Clearly lack of communication is an issue for him. Later, when I asked if there was any way I could boost the internet bc watching even a movie was not possible, he flipped out. Said I caused him to drive 4 hours, that I’m a complainer (?- the only prior text was asking about the door code), and I had to ask him to stop the conversation bc it wasn’t productive. The location is okay, but you have to drive 25 minutes to get to even a grocery store. The beds are very hard which is fine for some people but not for me. Definitely a tale of two vacations. I’ll stay elsewhere the next time I’m in the Catskills. I’ve never written a bad review about a property but the security issue was pretty egregious and the owner’s attitude was almost as bad.
