I have a 100pd trained GSD . It’s hard to find a hotel that excepts big dogs. They were very welcoming, and the hotel it’s self was comfortable for him with plenty of space to roam around. There is also a dog park just a min walk down the street. The room was very clean and no smells of previous visitors with dogs. The carpeting and furniture looked brand new.
The close the kitchen by 8Pm on Sundays. We arrived late so we had dinner elsewhere. Plenty of restaurants just a 10 min drive away.

The room was very clean. The property was clearly recently updated and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Just what I needed.

Nothing
It was runned down, filthy , overgrown, sheets had animal hair and some human hair all over them. Was moved to another room with 1 bed instead of 2 and no kitchen, was told I was getting a reduced rate since this was not what o booked and now no kitchen and had to share a small bed with a friend and also an additional discount for the inconvenience and dirty first room. The property had literal trashed furniture dumped on the grounds right below where you sleep. Bad odor in the rooms bugs on the ceilings and corners, “Tiled “ceiling in the second room about to fall down on you. We left a whole day / night early because we could not bare to sleep in those conditions. I’m expecting a refund because this is unacceptable.

The location in the Catskills was lovely and close to a small village. It was also very close to a great hiking trail (fox hollow to panther mountain) which was why we chose this location.
The room was in need of maintenance. There was a panel hanging off the wall at skirting board height. The wall socket came out of the wall when trying to unplug a device and the toilet seat was loose. The room needed a good clean, the Aircon unit in the window was very dusty inside, there were cobwebs in the corners of the room, the shower tray needed a scrub (black grout lines) and there was grime behind the taps (which came off when rubbed). What really surprised me was that an envelope was left in the room asking for a tip to be left for the cleaner! The room was supposed to come with a continental breakfast on weekends (including pastries from a local bakery) but we didn't get that due to apparent sickness and supply issues. Instead we got a sweet muffin and a small pot of fruit in syrup. I complained at the time that it was a bit sparse but wasn't offered any alternative. The next day was the same offering so I declined the breakfast and went to sweet Sue's in the local village instead (that was amazing but a bit pricey).

Accommodates pets
Breakfast could be better served e.g., toaster for bread and bagels.

Excellent proximity to Belleayre Mountain for skiing. Lovely, super friendly staff. Has a bar* and game room**. Keyless entry. Decent value.
Tiny room (#5), thin walls - can hear other guests walking around and going up/down the stairs. Proprietors could 100% upgrade this location with a few seemingly-easy improvements. Bathroom needed work - Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (or general elbow grease) could easily take care of residual grime in stall shower. Wall-mounted shampoo/conditioner/body wash clearly hadn’t been touched or refilled in a long time. Bed was nice and well made, but if you looked too closely at your bedding, you might notice old stains and/or cigarette burn holes. No hangers in the room. *Bar had beer only (ok); **game room is a nice feature, but as mentioned in other reviews: many games required quarters and front desk don’t offer change. How many times do you have to get that question from guests before you make change available?? No bottled water available at front desk - would be a nice touch and easy lift.

The lock on the door did not work and could have easily been forced through. Was held together with pieces of tape. Place was not clean and the bathroom was dirty. Uncomfortable stay.

Location, what's not to love about the Catskills, even in the "off" season.
Mislead about accommodations! Paid extra for room with a balcony but that section of hotel was closed! I blame Booking.com more for this but the communication with the phantom "front desk" person was not great. There seemed to be only one other couple staying there and they were waiting and waiting for towels outside. The pub was closed too, so basically there was nothing to do, no firepit, no games, nothing! "Breakfast" almost didn't happen as it was left in a kitchen that was locked, after a few texts with the phantom "front desk" someone brought the "to go" breakfast to our rooms, which was only good "to go" in the trash! The bathroom shower curtain was stained and hanging from broken chains and there was no AC (it was a bit warm). To be fair this place if it were up and fully functional say like during ski season or the height of summer (but with no AC? maybe not...) may have been a better experience for some, but we will not return or recommend this place to any of our traveling friends.

The location of the property was ok.
The cleanness of our room was absolutely unacceptable. We had a dirty towel in our bathroom when we arrived, the window seals were stuck in with toilet paper to keep the bugs out, the AC was full of mold and dirt that triggered asthma. After our first night we decided to leave and don’t spend our second night there because of health issues and we couldn’t get any help or compensation from the staff. Very disappointing!

Location is amazing! Picturesque and beautiful!
Shower is very small. Climate control in the room wasn't the best. It was very warm, even with the AC on.

The continental breakfast was nice, and they had freshly made bagels. Very handy for a family and kids. Staff were very helpful, and would set bonfires in the evening upon request for the kids to roast marshmallows. The game room was very handy to keep the kids entertained. Wasn't expecting kitchen facilities in our room, very handy and spacious.
Noise from adjacent rooms could be annoying at times.

Continental breakfast but excellent bagels both Saturday & Sunday. Staff member James was very accommodating as I needed to ice my knee.. very helpful. On Sunday we found out that he actually makes the bagels from scratch proofs them and boils and bakes them at 4:30 in the morning. Very friendly atmosphere

The only thing we liked best was the breakfast. It was awesome. The bathroom is clean and good. We had plenty of space tp park car.
Just bed on a box on both beds made so cheap. And 4 bedsheets on the same bed made me feel like they never changed bedsheets for long time. My son started getting sneezing so badly with the pillows. I had to use my t-shirt to make as a separate pillow case. We left one day early since I never felt comfortable in the rooms. So tiny and bedsheets and other stuff so cheap. No chairs or place to put anything. It was not worth. But only

Great location. convenient to our favorite catskills restaurant (Peekamoose Inn) and other towns we like to visit.
Breakfast-there were homemade bagels - made by one of the owners. That definitely exceeded my expectations for breakfast.
Oh and there's a decently sized pool--had a nice swim the morning we checked out. Great also for dog lovers but you can choose to stay in the main building, which does not allow pets.
Great to stay if you are dropping your camper off at Frost Valley YMCA-convenient to there and to Slide Mountain if you like hiking.
This isn't a reflection on the inn and it may not bother others but i wouldn't stay in a room above the tavern on a Saturday night--noisy.

The breakfast was wonderful! The fresh baked bagels were delicious and the deck a lovely space to get the day’s adventures off to a great start.
The property and rooms are clean, and well-pointed, but this may not be the place for you if you like a more “posh” experience.

When I booked the room it stated there was a complimentary breakfast. When we checked out the lobby door was locked, someone answered when we rang the bell . She asked about our stay, was on her personal phone and sent us on our way. We asked about breakfast and she said "I can get you some muffins to go"
The room, air conditioner dirty. Shower extremely small. No pictures on the wall. Very no frills which would be ok if not charged $168 a night
