The location was amazing, close to good snorkeling and restaurants. The environment was very peaceful with great views of the ocean from my room. My favorite part was meeting the amazing owners and enjoying the delicious avocados from their tree.

A wonderful stay, with fantastic hosts. Such a friendly welcome in an oasis of calm. A little way from Kona for those wanting to hit the town, but for us very worthwhile. Thanks to Ping, Stanley and Max for welcoming us into their home.
Nothing.

The owners were very friendly. Great conversation. Nice garden.
The toilet doesn't have a basin to wash hands. You will have to go to the kitchen sink to wash hands. It would be nice to put two together.

Our hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful!
They showed us around their garden and picked fresh fruit for us everyday! When we needed water shoes unexpectedly, they loaned us their own, making our trip to Kealakekua Bay perfect! Our room was comfortable and had a small private lanai where we could sit and enjoy the sunset or the amazing night sky! Honaunau was a great location with many little independent places to eat very close by

The view was spectacular. Our hosts were warm, and gracious, while providing us appropriate privacy. We asked for and got a lovely walk around the property with great descriptions of the various fruit trees (while the host handed us ripe fruit from the tree to eat at our leisure) and the history of the property. They provided good guidance for local activities. The breakfast was delicious and so fresh, including the eggs and fruit from their property. It was a warm and homelike experience.
A little more storage to unpack into would have been welcomed.

The Coffee Garden BnB is located in an ideal location on the west coast of the Big Island, Hawaii. It is less than an hour’s drive from Kona International airport and a short drive to excellent snorkelling spots at Two Step beach and the Captain Cook monument. it’s also very close to the fascinating Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. We really enjoyed our stay and meeting with our genial and very welcoming hosts Ping, Danny and Max. Our room was spacious, well equipped and we enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets from our little balcony. Ping is a lovely lady and we were privileged to have a guided tour around her amazing, very productive garden - we have never seen such a variety of exotic fruit trees and bushes in one place! Given the opportunity, we would certainly love to stay again at the Coffee Garden BnB.
Nothing.

It was such a lovely unique location. The fresh fruits from the gardens were amazing. We enjoyed the cats and dogs who lived here! The hosts were so kind and really went above and beyond with helping us out - loaning snorkel equipment and meeting us after we checked out to return something we forgot!
nothing!

More private area than a hotel with beautiful scenery and fruit available to those who stay. Loved the big windows and private porch area to enjoy the sunset. Perfect room for our needs.
Roosters were loud and start at 3am. Should have taken up the offer of earplugs!

Beautiful location. Friendly, helpful hosts who are happy to share the delicious fruits from their beautiful garden/farm. Tasty breakfast and coffee. Excellent Wi-Fi. Hosts speak Mandarin and English.
The coqui tree frogs in this area are quite vocal at night. We were able to sleep using a combination of earplugs and a white noise machine for background noise. The entrance from the road can be easily missed, especially when driving at night. Pay attention to the photo of the entrance sent by the owners as it will be very helpful.

We had an amazing time staying at Coffee Garden BnB after a few busy traveling days. It is very quiet and family ran. The hosts are very friendly and warm-hearted. We had an opportunity to relax here and learned more about local living. If you get lucky, you may get up early and help auntie in the garden to pick some fresh fruits. Tastes so good. 😋
This place is close to Kona but less busy. It is also near the famous captain cook monument. We chose to hike down and snorkel there. That's one of the best snorkel places I've snorkelled. I'd highly recommend this BnB to anyone who likes nature and enjoys cottage feel like living. We would come back again.

Friendly staff, nice cats and dog. Beautiful ocean view and sunset from our room.
Very minor; bed and cushions were a bit too soft for our liking.

The owners of the B and B went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They gladly offered the use of the snorkels, googles and umbrella for beach days. They also gave us headlamps and binoculars to view the lava at night. We felt so incredibly welcome. The breakfasts made by Ping were delicious! Stelley and Max were so helpful. The area is incredibly peaceful and you only hear the sounds of nature. We were offered to help ourselves to the amazing fruit growing in Pings enormous garden.
Its about a 20 minute drive from the centre but otherwise nothing else.

Ping was a wonderful host. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and fruit picked from her trees.

Loved the location. It was beautiful and serene. Be careful, because it is a quick turn off the main road that can easily be missed if you are speeding. Drive safely! Totally worth the stay and the price. Host and hostess were kind and accommodating. Place was comfortable and I slept great!
Minor outdated items in the restroom. Nothing that got in the way of our stay, but just to take note of.

We loved the garden tour and seeing all of the different fruit trees. We even got to see the wild pigs that occasionally visit and are kept out behind a low wall. Unfortunately since we visited in April, many of the fruits weren't yet ripe. The room was delightful even with its tiny bathroom and 'kitchen' area - they had everything we needed. And the cross air flow & fan worked very well, at least in April. We ordered breakfast one time and it was delicious, but too much for us as we usually don't eat breakfast at all. But it was a generous portion with omelet, juice or coffee, and two pieces of toast with homemade guacamole from their avocado tree. We also enjoyed the company of their dog and several cats. Being 1000' high cut the humidity, but also made for more rain. There were a few small places nearby to eat and drink as well. We had rented a car, so it was easy to drive to where we wanted to explore. The covered porch that Stan built onto the house is amazing and provides a lovely place to hang out if you wish, although it's a little uncomfortable when the family is eating dinner out there as I felt we were encroaching on family time. There are currently only two rooms so it's quiet, as long as the people in each room are!
A big thing for me was no complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings and evenings. I thought that was part of being a bed and breakfast and adds a very welcoming feeling. It would be easy enough to leave a pot of coffee out at those times if the guests are interested, and just to leave some tea bags out since there are cups, water and a microwave in the rooms. I did request it one morning for my husband, and was obliged albeit with the comment that it was usually just for those who order breakfast, and was offered it once by the dad, which was lovely after a rainy day.

Peaceful 2-room B&B on a property with a large garden and lots of friendly house pets. Our room was simple but comfortable and came with a little deck. We paid for breakfast one morning and got a generous and tasty meal made with food picked from the garden. Our host was very friendly and helpful, and the property was quiet.
It's a bit of a drive to the Kona restaurants and beaches from here, but that worked out OK for us; we took the chance to explore the area. We had a little trouble getting our keys upon arrival, so I suggest specifying arrival time in advance and calling the host as you approach to confirm that she's there.

Location was convenient for seeing the southern part of the island. Owners were very nice and helpful. Room was clean and mostly comfortable.
The bathroom was tiny and didn't have its own sink. You have to use the kitchenette sink to wash hands and brush teeth. The roosters didn't bother me but did disturb my daughter.

This rural setting was comfortable and clean. The crickets hummed us to sleep and the roosters woke us up. The five star personal chef gave us amazing organic breakfasts in their large outdoor kitchen. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Very friendly hosts, delicious home cooked breakfast including fruit from their property. Had a lovely informal tour of the property and the various fruit trees from the adult son.
It was pretty fine print that the children were $80 *EACH* PER DAY, which dramatically over priced the room. I'm sure it was my fault that I didn't understand that fully, but for $160/night over the top of the rest of the price, we still had to ask for towels for them to use.
