A wonderful stay with my family - we had a beautiful room at the top and our boys (11 and 15) had a twin on the second floor. Such attention to detail and super clean and bright. The beds were so comfortable and lots of special touches, Fran bringing your breakfast basket being a definite highlight. Thoroughly recommend x

Fran is an excellent host. Every aspect of our stay was extraordinary because of her detail and thoughtfulness. Much more than we expected but appreciated to the highest degree.
Nothing. We’ll choose Stones throw without reservation next time.

The room had everything I needed and was an incredible location - a quiet street but literally a stones throw from harbour, restaurants, shops and just a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. The owner was so helpful in advance with lots of tips on restaurants. I loved the welcome, and their guide book was so useful and helped me find a great beach. The breakfast was sensational and huge. So nice having it delivered in a basket in the morning. This and all the other little touches made it feel very special.

My family and I recently stayed at Stone's Throw Cottage for two nights and had an exceptional experience. Fran, our host, was amazing with her attention to detail and kind hospitality. The rooms were fresh and inviting, capturing the essence of the seaside. The food was simply the best we've ever had at a B&B. I wholeheartedly recommend Stone's Throw Cottage without hesitation.

Breakfast choices were submitted on a tick box sheet & served in the room; food was excellent
Location was near village centre convenient for bus & restaurants
In the corner bath cubicle the wash hand basin was tiny & inconvenient to use. There was a small cabinet fixed to the wall above the lower corner of which had to be carefully avoided when bending the head to wash the face.

Fran couldn’t have been a more accommodating host. Nothing was too much trouble. The attention to detail to make out stay memorable and comfortable was exceptional. It was like home from home with treats
The only thing I struggled with a little was the bed. I have lower back problems and found the bed hard and difficult to get comfy on. My daughter had the matching twin bed and slept really well.

Location ideal, friendly landlady - very helpful and welcoming. Decent sized room for an old cottage. Quality of breakfast very good, plus tea/coffee facilities and bathroom facilities above average.
No separate room for breakfast, so food consumed in bedroom (although the landlady made an excellent effort to do this professionally). No wardrobe. Bathroom facilities good but very small to use sink.
