Location
Bed was small for 2 (full size mattress) but using trundle mattress helped

We had a great apartment (yellow room 611) with direct beach access, fire pit and amazing views of the sea and volcanoes
Check in was a little slow and check in staff a little abrupt at guests

The view was to die for. I could have sat in my room all day with binoculars

The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. My kids liked the pool, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. It was nice to hear the ocean from our room and to go for a walk to the beach. We loved it and want to come back! Thank you!
Everything was great!

This place was refreshing brake from a wild adventure. It was a quiet with a wonderful view. After a long ride to get there, it was nice to get a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Only to wake up a get a nice coffee and walk the beach and watch the wildlife, with a backdrop of water and mountains.

Great location, loved being able to walk right from our patio to the water.

I liked the location- right on the beach. I loved watching the birds, boats, otters, seals, etc. from my balcony. I liked the restaurant and bar. I had dinner and drinks there almost every night. I liked all of the staff and people who worked there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was easy and comfortable.
The location.... altho I liked being right on the beach, without a car my days were limited to activities that took place on or from The Spit. But, during my stay, I fished on a charter boat, kayaked, and took a pontoon plane to Brooks Falls to watch bears. So I had an excellent time.

Unique location at the Homer spit. Spectacular views and the feeling of historical uniqueness.
It feels that the hotel isn't new and some room features are not very practical. The price is certainly not a bargain.

6 nights there. Let’s face it, the only reason to stay here is the location. Staff were friendly if a little overwhelmed at times. Food was acceptable but not cheap and most dishes were of the creamy variety which is no, but beware if you cannot tolerate dairy
My room was not clean, very old furniture, the bath was dangerous with no bath mat, making it very slippy and NO hand grips anywhere! I’m surprised this is still allowed? Door to balcony was completely warped and balcony was pretty disgusting and potentially not safe. Restaurant is at time’s completely overwhelmed and staff are valiant and mostly succeed in serving people but they are clearly understaffed.

The views from the room were incredible and beds were comfy! Staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely will stay again!

Love location and above all the large outside deck that came with room to sit out on and view otters and fishing boats coming in . Nice restaurant with ocean view. Must make reservations.
Nothing.

Location
The main building is old and very poor maintained. The staircase to the room is in pathetic condition. Rooms in old building are very dated. Staff is not helpful

We liked that there was a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. If you want to eat in the main section you need reservations in the evening. We ended up eating in the bar area and it was just as nice. Good food.
Check in is not until 5:00 pm. That was kind of pain having to wait and I noticed that there were others waiting as well.

Right on Spit, making getting to fishing charter early in the morning easier.
I booked with the intentions on using hot tub. You have to reserve for hot tub. 2 days (VERY expensive) no hot tub availability. For dinner in the Chart room, have to have reservation as well. We went down the street & had wonderful food & left before we would have been able to get in with the reservation. Probably won't put forth the extra cost to stay there again.

Extremely Dated!!!! My goodness at what is charged per night they should definitely do some renovations

Location at the end of Homer spit was wonderful, and the Chart Room restaurant was good enough that we ate there 2 nights in a row.
There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room, and when I called the front desk I was put on hold so long that I eventually hung up. Once I went to speak with them on foot, they were very helpful and addressed my need.

I only stayed one night so my experience here was very short. Check in was easy, the room was cute, and the view was excellent. I would have liked to try the restaurant, but we didn't have the time. I do think it was a tad pricy for what it was, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Considering this was my first experience in Homer, I enjoyed it overall!
I'm not sure the price tag matched the amenities, but I did only stay one night. If I had more time and more money, I probably would have enjoyed it a lot more!

The staff, room, price, and view
The check in time was late in the afternoon, I would have liked to get in there a little more sooner to get settled.

rooms were great
pool and hot tub was closed. The whole purpose for us to come here was to enjoy the accommodations. Check-in 6pm and the only thing that was open was the sauna.
