Exceptional

The staff was very friendly and understanding. For a decent size establishment it was very cozy and quiet. Also I couldn't have been happier with the location. There is access to just about everything we needed.... I almost hate the fact that I have to go.

That I couldn't stay longer.

Great location for a short vacation!

Great location! Everything is good, very comfortable big bed, sofa, microwave oven, refrigerator, all available. The manager was nice and very helpful.

Nothing, except the shower curtain was a bit old.

Not a good experience, but facility could be much better with a modest amount of work.

Management somewhat responsive to correcting problems.

Cleanliness poor. Inoperable smoke detector. Clothes rack coming loose from wall. Appearance of facility very poor.

The fact that they have microwave in the room

The fact that the heater was broken and while It was raining it was cold in the room and since the sheets are already like papers in and the heater wasn't working I actually was cold as heck all night, the TV didn't work and they didn't even give me a chair to sit on and they try to charge me 140 a night good Lord

supposedly good but the staff made our night cold

big desk and big bed

the staff was not 24/7 working although written so. we were locked outside in the cold to get the spare key and no one was answering the front desk until 3 am. he mentioned that we did not ring the bell although we did so countless times and call the phone number in the site. the next day he apologized but damage was done.

Superb

Carpet was clean. Motel was nice and quiet at night. I got a good night's sleep.

Coffee maker in the room would be nice. It would save me a trip to get coffee in the morning.

You get what you pay for.

Located near relatives. Comfortable mattresses. No bed bugs.

Absolutely filthy. I had to spend 30 minutes cleaning the the mold and hair from the shower. The shower curtain was covered in mold. There was so much dust in the air conditioner and everywhere else it was unreal, took another 30 minutes to dust the room. My asthma was really bad in that room.

Superb

This is my favorite place to stay in the area. The management is super nice. It's clean and has everything I need to be comfortable. Total value.

I would prefer to be downstairs as the stairs are physically hard for me, but the rooms upstairs are good so I suck it up and take whatever is available.

Cheaper Than Chain Properties, But...

The property was close to where I needed to be for my trip. While located on PCH, it sits back from the road a bit and with the double paned windows, the street noise was fairly minimal. I was quite surprised to see daily housekeeping here, since the chain properties have not jumped on board again with. Decent size fridge and microwave was in the room, though not used by me.

The short answer is A LOT. Let's start with safely. First, for the record, I am a former resident of Torrance and can whole heartedly say there really are few "sketchy" areas of Torrance, and this property IS NOT in one. That being said this property might be a transitional/short term home. The industry standard security features like peep hole and security chain on the door was nonexistent. Add to that the smoke detector was removed from the ceiling and I initially wondered what I was getting into and contemplated going somewhere else for the remainder of my stay. The bed was slightly more comfortable that a park bench and was more deserving of two small pillows. The chair, ottoman and desk chair were in desperate need of cleaning. They looked like the castoffs from Marriott's early 2000 refresh and may have not been cleaned since then. The thermostat to the heat/ac had no control other than on/off. The bath towels were extremely rough. The basin of the sink and tub were not exactly 5 star clean... heck, not even 3 star clean and the tub was in dire need of some bleach spray. The cleaning staff might have been using a bleach alternative cleaner based on the smell of the area, but it was not doing its job both on grime and substance appearing to be mold.

The room smell really bad I had to sanitize the room myself also heater didn’t work and the people that were checking in

Very poor

The receptionist was very rude to the point we wanted to cancel our booking and leave, but he wasn’t doing the refund and my partner wanted to leave any ways. the place wasn’t so bad but they need to train the receptionist to be more professional.
