This was the highlight of my trip and I hope to return someday!!!
The people of Sumatra are inviting, warm and friendly and yet this place took it to a whole other level. We were welcomed by Amet. This place was created by Ricky and it exudes connection, gratitude, intention and service.
As a guest I felt included and the level of participation in nightly singing of your heart and soul helped create a feeling of comaderie found at no other hotel in my experience. I thank Giuseppe, Kje, Ahmet, Eddie, Antoe, Dell,Erit and Ricky. The chefs Mala and Karmal made food that was not only fresh and nourishing but also authentically local! I apologize if I have forgotten your names....there were so many kind and helpful people. I would hesitate to call them staff as they acted as friends...I had fun dancing with Tommy and the gals of the kitchen!!!
Ricky's vision for sustainable eco-tourism and sustainable compassion illuminates this place!!!
