Classy place in a classy place - we would like to revisit on days!

Great vibe about the place. Very laid back but still professional. Rooms tastefully done and very clean. Morning tea and coffee a nice touch

Hidden sweet spot!

My daughter and I were in a double queen room…#2…in the single floor rooms at the back of the property. I think it was an updated room (they are doing some work on the place…outside and their lobby building). We LOVED our room, so much so that we added on a second night after we checked in. Likes: Our room was large, with some awesome features like the beds, lamps, tv. It was very clean. The wood floor was a nice touch, especially in the summertime and it's 90 degrees outside. The decor and colors were lovely. Parking was super easy, and the location was fine (the town is small so even though the hotel is at the end of the main road, restaurants and shops are close). Dislikes: the only thing I disliked was that the cement edge around the pool was cracked and rusted almost all around. Overall, a very pleasant stay! And one of the more affordable options in town. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Ojai!

But just a cosmetic imperfection. I think the pool was saltwater which was awesome because you didn't come out of it smelling like chlorine. Oh, and a hot tub would be nice, but not a deal breaker that there wasn't one. The fire pit and chairs around it were great.

Would have booked elsewhere due to reasons for travel because of construction at this location

Constant construction Monday through Friday all day until 5PM including electric sawing. You might have to walk through construction and smell construction materials like paint thinner and lacquer.

Would not stay here again.

The beds were great, and the room was clean, although we found bugs and spiders in the room. Did love the new floors.

This place is an unfinished project! There is no lobby, an unfinished outdoor bathroom with no sink, and it basically looks like a motel that is trying to be something it's not. The room needs some color, and are dark, with insufficient lighting. The sink had no plug.

Disappointing

Comfortable bed

Renovation work, no coffee or tea making in room, water was hard to turn on or off in the shower, extractor fan didn't work this caused the bathroom walls to drip, there was no sink in bathroom, it was outside the bathroom which didn't make it very private, tiling around the sink was chipped & in bad condition. I emailed the hotel about issues & never got a reply. For this reasin we would never stay again.

Central location

Spacious room. Bed was super comfortable. Central location with plenty of parking.

Could hear the guests in the next room. Kept A/C on to block out their noise.

It was near everything.

Not enough stuff in the room... no water! No coffee! could use more fun bath products, robes, slippers.

Bad smell in the room

Nice view

The room had a bad smell. The smell was so strong I was unable to sleep. No complimentary coffee or water. No microwave. Not a good experience at all. The pool needs repairs. When I complained to the about the manager about the awful smell in our room all she said was “aww, sorry” no help at all. Not a good place to stay.

Comfortable place to spend the night

Somewhat dated, but comfortable property. A short 15 minute walk to downtown Ojai. Beds were very comfortable, good water pressure in the shower, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the grassy "front yard" of the property.
