Dunkery View lies in a peaceful rural location at the foot of Dunkery Hill on the edge of the charming village of Wootton Courtenay and enjoys sweeping all round views of Exmoor. The village shop is a short walk away and numerous stunning walks over the moors.

Main Description
This attractive apartment is laid out over two floors and is comprised of a large bedroom with superking-sized bed, well equipped kitchen, spacious sitting/dining room, shower room with large shower plus the added benefit of a drying/boot room for your walking footwear and outer garments. A private garden is adjacent to the property from which you can enjoy the dark sky delights of Exmoor and see the Milky Way on clear moonless nights.

Dunkery View kitchen is fitted with washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric oven and ceramic hob. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A television, DVD player and CD player is provided in the living room and wireless broadband is available at the property.

Electricity and heating
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Dunkery View is fitted with central heating throughout which can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

Linen and towels
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips. Bed linen is not supplied for the cot.

Other provisions
A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There may also be other non-perishable items like a salt, pepper and a few herbs or spices available.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid and surface cleaner will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.

A large, enclosed garden is attached to the property which is available for your sole use.

The self catering apartment is situated in a beautiful part of the Exmoor National Park and is in an ideal location from which to explore the extraordinary beauty and variety of the Exmoor landscape. Become acquainted with the stunning coastline between Minehead and Combe Martin, where Exmoor dives steeply into the sea; the brooding, wild, open moorland areas of Dunkery Hill, Winsford Hill and Brendon Common; the beautiful and ancient oak woodlands at Cloutsham; the historic clapper bridge at Tarr Steps, and the packhorse bridges at Allerford and Dunster and of course the chocolate box villages of Dunster, Winsford, Allerford, Selworthy, Bossington and Oare.

The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.

This is a beautifully situated cottage on the outskirts of the village. Perfect for walking either directly from the cottage or in the locality where there is such a varied landscape. The owners were very friendly and the cottage very clean and comfortable. This was our second visit and we look forward to returning.

Very good apartment set in the rolling hills of Exmoor but only 5 miles from Minehead & its facilities. Equipped with everything you need including milk, teabags & biscuits to start you off! The only downside was the mattress was very hard & uncomfortable making sleep diffilcult.

Very spacious, very well equipped, very clean. Extremely comfortable for just two people, lots of room. Particularly liked the tack room, the garden, the orchard, the reserved parking and the sky view. Karen and Keith are very friendly and live next door, so if there had been any problem help would have been to hand. We had a really good time staying there and hope to return.

The location, for us, was perfect. We were able to walk from the property without having to use the car. We are serious walkers and for those proposing to venture out on the hills we would recommend good boots and waterproofs from the front door.

We found Dunkery View very comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering. There was good attention to detail and the whole place was absolutely spotless. It has a lovely garden and lies in a quiet, rural location at the foot of Dunkery Hill. It is on the edge of the delightful village of Wootton Courtenay and enjoys sweeping views of Exmoor. The village shop is a short walk away and there are several walks over the moors. Sue

Beautifully quiet location with outstanding views and great patio area. The utility room/boot room was very useful to have access to. Very comfortable accommodation and we appreciated the warmth of the property for an October stay. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. There are plenty of walks from the property and many more with a relatively short drive away. A great base for Exmoor exploring.
