The open plan living area was perfect for family. The kitched was well equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well finished and the rainfall shower head in the main bathroom was superb. The location was ideal for us with a lovely country pub 300 yards along the road.
The rear garden could be a little tidier/nicer in order to make the most of the outdoor space.

exceedingly well equipped, very clean, lovely bathrooms and showers. good quality towels and bedding
parking was a little tricky. kitchen area was quite dark, sofas not terribly comfortable

Parking space requires a little getting used to.

It had everything we needed, all the facilities and needs. Big back garden was good for the children.
It was a bit dull/dark inside. It wasn’t very clean. needed a good vacuum and dust.

The house was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was by the side of a road which became busy during peak times, but the large rear bedroom was quiet, with views over the garden and open fields beyond. The hosts had thoughtfully provided some basic supplies which really helped us when we arrived. Our feeling was that they really care about their guests. The kitchen area was large, with a huge dining table and had all the equipment we could wish for. Both our medium and our son's small car fitted in the available parking space when he visited us. The booking process was excellent with all the information and codes passed to us at the promised times.
The local area has many interesting places to visit and we barely scratched the surface during our short stay. A 'must', however, is West Kirby marine lake walk!
We loved the space, comfortable beds, warm heating and showers, entertainment and the general atmosphere of this characterful house.
Can't think of anything! We should have stayed longer. We will next time!

well equipped and clean.
Loved that we could walk to the pub in minutes.
on a busy road, difficult driving in and out of the very limited parking space.

Beautifully clean, tidy and lovely decor throughout. Everything had been thought of by the host, from a fresh bottle of milk and chilled bottles of water on arrival to clear instructions on how to work appliances etc... Excellent communication before and during our stay!
Parking can be a bit tricky when the road is busy as the space is a bit tight but I'm really clutching at straws to find a negative.

Clean and everything we needed. Tea coffee milk biscuits (and crisps) all available on arrival. No key needed, clever entry arrangements. Lovely clean bedding and towels.
Second bathroom is a small wet room downstairs, beyond the kitchen. Lightning downstairs could be improved.
3.5
The upstairs bedrooms are perfectly acceptable and attractively decorated
First impressions - very disappointing Front door step covered in bird droppings that we cleaned in 5 minutes with boiling water and washing up liquid. Parking is extremely limited on very restricted paved front garden off a very busy road Garden and parking are weed infested and steps to back door badly crumbling and a trip hazard. Carpet in TV area badly frayed and bathroom fittings insecure. Overpriced for what is offers and requiring some attention. We were dismayed and for the price felt let down.

Spacious clean and all amenities catered for with some lovely extra little touches
Street noise was a little loud for bedrooms at the front (cars)
4.5
Very well equipped kitchen with lovely welcoming touches - fresh milk, tea, coffee, crisps, sweets and other basics (salt and pepper, cleaning materials, toiletries etc) so didn't have to buy anything other than food for meals. House is nicely furnished and clean plus the beds were very comfortable. Easy entry using a keypad which was very useful for multiple occupants. Double glazing was very effective in keeping out traffic noise.
Very minor point - some of the soft furnishings such as cushions in the lounge, whilst making the place comfortable and cosy, tended to be a little bit musty which is probably inevitable in a house which is not occupied all year round.
4.5
This place is really fantastic. Only thing that was not great was the cot- we requested for it to be set up in a specific room and was told this would be done but on arrival it wasn’t. We found cot bed packed away and did our best to put together but could not get it to click open properly and missed zipping one side. In the night my baby actually rolled out of the cot because we hadn’t put it together. Host also failed to let us know they provide no bedding for cot until we already left. We did pack our own duvet but expected the mattress to be covered in a basic sheet. We had to use a towel instead. Other than that, fantastic. One thing to note- doors are fire doors and cannot secure from inside, we found this challenging with young children who can easily open using handles esp with the main road.
